New providers are always a concern. But on the other hand, if no-one tries their services they won't become old providers
Recently I bought a 128MB KVM for $7/year from TacticalVPS. For $7 I honestly didn't expect great service. I was wrong.
FAPVPS offer's good service, i had 1GB KVM for 5$. Quite happy with it.

My concern is that I could lose my things in a yearly plan if the provider deadpooled.
Regardless whether you choose a new host or the Most-Trusted-Host-in-the-World you should create your own backups and a restoration strategy. It's your data. Manage it.
