    Me too. Never been a fan of cricket my whole life (Yes, I was an anomaly among friends). But, still watched it for Sachin, Ganguly (Dada), Sehwag, Dravid, etc. and the gang. Since their retirement, I believe it has degraded.

    From my experience.. I don't suggest anything without a large ecosystem to newbies. After some time, it is fighting against the framework/cms instead of haivng what we want..

    Lol true, but if one want a website with easier to code into and some functions ready to roll vvvweb is a solid choice specially the multi domain work.

    i'll have to give vvvweb a shot. I never cared much for wordpress because it seems like they are running almost a monoploy. more Competition fuels innovation

    Had it on NAS. Removed after one drive died. Always felt the Transmission was the reason for my drive failrue in the wdcloud.

    I doubt it was due to transmission, can be something else entirely hard to figure out....

    Entirely possible depending on the amount of torrents running, they're extremely heavy in I/O operations. This is made worse by running it on a SOHO router.

    Might be but I doubt express was using transmission aggressively compared to myself.

    I was agressive. Have around 40-50 active torrents at that time.

    wow thats crazy. Yeah i could 100% see that killing your drives. Too much reading and writing is going to take its tool eventually

    Those are sweet memories.

    The only thing Windows still keeping from those days is the BSOD.

    I hadnt heard about its thermal management but HP really knew what they were doing back in the day. Its shame where they went

    No idea, did he? Dell has been an all-time favourite of mine, until recently. I also hope if Dell's back to its roots, they work on bringing Alienware back to its golden days.

    I thought it was due to constant RW activity of the transmission.. May be something else,

    Oddly enough the reviews from Best Buy said the exact opposite, but I snagged it anyway and mine is excellent still to this day. Probably fixed the cooling issue with a BIOS update by the time I purchased it, I guess the fans weren't kicking in when they should have been?

    I was able to play Cyberpunk 2077 on it with no problems when it released, when people with much higher end hardware were complaining of constant problems, so I was happy with my choice.

    I see, maybe you got one of the very first generations. Pavillion series you own was later famous among gamers for badass thermal management.

    Yeah it seems with every iteration things change ever so slightly with everything from cpus, to cars, to laptops, to pc. hard to keep track of what year is what sometimes and what can be reliable

    Exactly. I guess it's the time for newer startups like Framework to shine.

    For the blog, WordPress. No other frameworks, just plain old PHP.

    My favourite CMS. The customisability is what I love the most about them.

    yeah they really do have a lot going for them, its just the idea of giving so much work to a single entity i dont caer so much about. See how google runs the web for example. Im sure wordpress and google are in some kind of cahoots together

    Frankly, the PS5. Being interested in the PS4 Linux scene, a PS5 is something that I've wanted for quite some time now.

    Can you flash a different os onto the PS5 and turn it into an emuatlor for all consoles?

    Not presently, but, both the PS4 and PS5 share same architecture for a good part. PS4 is currently capable of running Linux.

    It's actually fairly easy to reassemble in most cases, unless you don't desolder anything.

    Nope. Thats why I prefer a PC. Most developers I've seen like the MacBook pro though. I do like the looks of it. But non upgradability is meh for me.

    It's upgradable if you get the right tools, right replacement chips and a sure fire way to temper with OS core....

    I think someone who has to work to earn, and spending on MacBook to work, will not have that much time to put that effort. :p

    That's why we see more macs in garbage dump.....

    Thats how Apple earns money.. selling new, dumping old.

    I think hes looking at just the price to performance ratio. Nvidia is awesome but AMD is also awesome considering the price you pay for what you get
