@FAT32 found it already (I am sure) :)

No I am not, I am arguing with Finance on why I cannot claim a specific expenses and I feel quite angry about it.

Going to max out all my other benefits (usually I only use it when needed) before this year ends given that they are so petty

All jokes aside, corporations are brutal. You try to show them some loyalty (or otherwise) and they will go to all lengths to take you on a technicality. I have also learned it the hard way. They have unlimited capital, but, we the employees dont.

Any small instances to save money for the company is always overlooked when it comes for them to pay up.

I am 100% whole heartedly support your stance.

Enough of the corporate BS and their rules on denying small expenses which would otherwise cost them too much

Sorry for the rant. I recently went through something similar and the wounds are fresh.

    Good luck.

if its a small expense, ask finance how to reword it to get it approved. sometimes its the technicality they can't approve. if they arent on your side then max out everything from here on out

It is the kind where you join membership to get additional discount.

(All numbers are fake to not dox myself but it shows the point)

    • Original item price: $200
    • Membership cost: $20
    • Membership discount: 20%
    • Final price: $180 (Saved $20 for the company in total!)

But then because membership cannot be claimed, so I can only claim $160. Basically I spent $20 out of my own pocket to save company $20, on hindsight I shouldn't have thought of that but I think I blundered on that one.

It's taken me years to realise that if you're employed by a large company, it's not friend. The relationship is purely transactional. You do work, they pay money. If they decide they don't need you, you're gone. No matter how hard you worked in the past, how much money you saved them, how productive you were. If someone on the leadership team wants you gone, you're gone. Same with their benefits. They're a carrot to dangle in front of you, to make sure they get their pound of flesh.

Fuck the company. Take of yourself.

Could also be a weird prank that some of you have already found the coupon but refuse to reveal to confuse both LET and the provider.

This. Out of goodwill one tries to save money thinking for the greater good. But, no, they will back-stab on a petty expense, always.

I hate it when companies do this.

I have stopped being so gracious. If I have an allowance of $30 for a meal, I will use the full amount no matter what. I will probably end up with a meal worth $10. Remaining $20 goes to feed someone else's tab.
The policy for us is, no receipts if expenses under $30 or something and I make full use of it.

There is no reason why one should care about companies at all (no offense to the hosts here, its more geared to big conglomerates which suck the living soul)

Yes. It could be a weird prank to drive visits on a domain without even 6 months of activity. It does not cost much, because the provider can simply say the coupons were used.

The intent was to create a fun and engaging activity for everyone. If it’s not enjoyable, I can simply share the promo code here. We’ve done a steganography challenge few days ago, and this is just another CTF-style activity. As for driving traffic for a few hours, that wasn’t the goal—I don't see a strong strategic reason for doing that.

And no one found the code yet.
