    It's actually fairly easy to reassemble in most cases, unless you don't desolder anything.

    Nope. Thats why I prefer a PC. Most developers I've seen like the MacBook pro though. I do like the looks of it. But non upgradability is meh for me.

    It's upgradable if you get the right tools, right replacement chips and a sure fire way to temper with OS core....

    I think someone who has to work to earn, and spending on MacBook to work, will not have that much time to put that effort. :p

    That's why we see more macs in garbage dump.....

    Oh yes, but, sometimes we forget that even rackNerd has a budget to work with. Having a hyper expensive laptop in the pool might affect the budget left for other prizes.
