Has there been an official announcement when @NameCrane will actually make domains available for sale?
@Francisco will tag him too.

Merry Christmas!
Very soon
I’m just waiting on Mike to finalize the pricing for retail. We will then work on the affiliate pricing brackets and things like that.
After all of that we can work on an api.

@Francisco Merry Christmas, Francisco. I'm excited to try it out when it's available.
It's a domain, it's not going to be overly special
We'll do our best to just have a responsive & easy to use portal. Any time I have to use godaddy I want to Canada myself because of how laggy/annoying it is to move around.

Will there be a blesta/whmcs plugin/module for reselling namecrane domains?
Sounds good. What makes your registrar unique?
It's like no other.
Domains are tough. It's why we've worked on building out Shared/Resellers, & Cranemail, as revenue streams.
We'll try to include as many useful features as we can and not be a pain in the ass to work with (UI wise, staff wise). We'll actually read over/confirm abuse cases before we start willy nilly yoinking domains.
There's simply way too many people sending false claims or similar and domains getting pulled for no reason. Better yet, where you handled the abuse complaint months ago, but the registrar is so backed up they only get to the complaint in their queue 6 months later and suspend the domain, not checking the issue. We had that happen 2 - 3 times to BuyShared back in the day.
We'll do our best to be as reseller friendly as possible on pricing slabs as well as billing modules.
Long term we'd like someone to be able to come to Namecrane and we be their one-stop-shop.

Lets not smell our own farts too much.
In the technical sense there's nothing that makes our .com's better than godaddy, namecheap, etc.
People will choose to hitch to us because they like our other services, our included features, how they can reach out to us directly, they like gorilla's, etc.
Francisco
It's the only registrar with a genuine LET personality.
...is that a good thing or a bad thing?

Few more years

Looking forward to their Black Friday promotions where I can buy a crane and get a free .com thrown in.
Any updates on "when" ?
^^ this
We've been transferring internal stuff and will soon be moving over a lot of customer domains.
We've been working on the new site & billing which covers domains as well. You can register at https://namecrane.org/domains/search and test things out
Domains are basically ready to go, we just want a new site/etc to go with it.
Francisco
$1 domain price/renewals legit?
It's a dev instance (see: .org instead of .com).

Sure if you want a domain that only works on the registry testnets
Francisco
OTE for .com/.net/.org/.xyz were all wired for a few months, but as of a week or two ago I swapped things away since we wanted to start doing transfers. As of now if you register a domain on namecrane.org, it won't do anything, not even register to the testnets.
But yes, the sites on .org which has been our public test site/billing since the start of the year.
Come try it out, bask in the glory of how fast the domain search is. Search results are for public domains, not testnet. The 'accuracy' mode won't work since I disconnected the EPP backend.
