Attempted to put a web scraper onto my vps. The setup is apparently more than 5 clicks and involves additional crap to deal with javascript that SPAs love so much. Gimme back my plain old HTML 😅

But somehow I feel the negatives outweigh the positive at a grander scale
There needs to be responsible and collective action. But definitely not something a government should dictate. They usually seem to lack the collective eill to do good.
I don't blame parents as this allows them to get some personal time and to get some things done. Someone may take thus the wrong way but it is what it is.

So I deployed Huginn (honestly a piece of shit and I'm better off making scripts in bash than using that) and hoped the SSRed version of the website in question would contain the datapoints I want. Sadly, it obly contains the wireframe and the actual data is loaded with JS.
I'm planning to run some Playwright to overcome this. Maybe using browserless container, maybe not. Still TBD.
This project is quickly growing in complexity and I'm already stretching myself too thin. Prioritization round inbound ☺️
