    Oh, actually in North China there are two provinces next to each both written Shanxi in correct Pinyin and pronounced identically, even with the same tones. For westerners, the Pinyin has a double a in one, even though that technically would add a syllable, and in written Chinese the characters are different.

    But spoken they're the same, so it's pretty good as a troll.

    There are lots of words with identical pronunciation.

    Here's a reversed one. Not Chinese but Chinese character.
