    I heard in US without insurance you need to be very rich to get properly treated. :(

    I am lucky enough to have state insurance, for now, but by my last calculations it costs $250,000/yr to literally keep me alive. Something is very wrong with this picture.

    I heard in US without insurance you need to be very rich to get properly treated. :(

    I am lucky enough to have state insurance, for now, but by my last calculations it costs $250,000/yr to literally keep me alive. Something is very wrong with this picture.

    Autoimmune issues are scary, and since they're basically a mystery of the medical world, the fight to get them treated is too real. But I digress. :p Life is good!

    Chronic erythrodermic plaque psoriasis and the arthritis that goes with it. Without the biologic injections I will likely succumb to congestive heart failure. I'm currently fairly healthy but, without the insurance it's over. Sorry, this feels like too dark of a topic to discuss on Christmas. I'd be willing to share my story another time if it comes up!
