    maybe it's just mine that's having trouble with sdram, apart from that almost every asus product i have runs flawlessly, but i just hate their persistent armory crate application..... it crashes just too much had to disable it from bios for my workstation.

    Armory Crate used to be absolutely horrible for me as well, but this latest version actually works well so I'm giving it a chance. Have you tried updating?

    I just mean have you used the most recent version of Armory Crate? I borrowed an ROG Strix laptop from a buddy early this year and Armory Crate was nearly useless due to it being so unstable so we disabled it. But I gave it another chance on my new laptop with the latest version and it seems stable.

    I will take a look on that....

    Im not sure what you are talking about! I havent noticed much spam this time around. Black friday thread had many cases of pictures being randomly posted but we've kept it to civil conversations this time around!

    Cant go wrong with asus laptop. I have a really old one that wont quit on me. Graphics need upgrading but everything else is great

    mine is also fine, just soldered ram died on me :joy:

    Do you know how to fix soldered ram? Are you going to take a stab at it? I've soldered a few but that seems like a hard/near impossible task. Can you remove it or is the solder embedded in the board?

    I should have asked, are you using Armoury Crate for CPU/GPU control, or RGB control? Because there are alternatives for either task, not sure if there is an all in one program though.
