Can I be honest with u guys, these small dedi atoms or even pi are not really worth it, yes we do get caught up in the euphoria of owning our own machine but the cpu is usually meh and in the long run the bang for ur buck is pretty shit. I rented $5 atom with 2TB drive and unemtered 100 MBPS from ikoula for well over a decade but in the end I feel like I wasted a lot of money. Good old 2TB from @host_c is much better. In the process of renting the dedis power units failed twice, hard disk failed on both over the years. I wud gladly own a vps instance over a dedi any day as long as the cost and dedicated specs of owning that vps is not more than a dedicated. If something fails physically for my vps then it's the host who has to get to work but with my small dedi the headache is not worth it.

Good old 2TB from @host_c is much better. In the process of renting the dedis power units failed twice, hard disk failed on both over the years.I wud gladly own a vps instance over a dedi any day as long as the cost and dedicated specs of owning that vps is not more than a dedicated
