Can I have the laptop? :(

    will sticker do the job?

Im not a big fan of the stickers personally but I get theres a big culture around stickers on laptops. I always hate the pain of getting them off if you want to change them or just grow tired of some of them. Can also hurt resale value

well there are specific solutions to remove the sticker completely, i have tried using ethanol and it usually remove everything even the adhesive.

I've found that a regular pink eraser works surprisingly well. It removes everything cleanly and doesn’t cause any damage during the process.

that sounds interesting... i will try it next time. Thanks for tip mate.

I wonder if that would work well on window stickers as well! I bought a used car recently and had some gunk left over. No goo gone on hand but plenty of pink erasers

try it and let me know if it works, might come in handy sometime

Hah, i dont know that I would risk it on such an expensive purchase.. I cant imagine how it would go wrong though? Unless theres some kind of microscopic coating it ruins or something

Ah, didn't know there were many providers with ARM based hardware.

well not many but there are few including hetzner, netcup, avoro(ig), etc.

Oh I see. I am guessing it's not recommended for heavy projects.

nah it's the other way around with really great price to performance ratio and with scalability in mind they are fine tuned chips perfectly aligned for hard core usage, the only thing missing is support with old programs.

I see. Might have to give it a try someday then

RN threads are hated by the Mega thread squad :joy:

Not everyone. FAT32 and emgh are good examples.

they hate it too as well, but they are like not on that level, atleast till yet.

Maybe don't concentrate on their hatred, and instead focus on what we are able to do here.

Hey dolphins are pretty darn intelligent! Do they really have 2 independent functioning sides!?

they can make their brain function in half, while half sleeps the other half keep up the functions like sonar or such.

Ah very neat. I cant imagine what it would be like to have that fine tuned control. Kinda like how some people try to control lucid sleeping

controlling my sleep is a dream

I did try it in my youth actually. Theres a HUGE community around it but I never got very deep into it. From what I remember it starts off with just trying to document EVERYTHING about your sleep as soon as you can. I dont rembmer how it progresses from there. It seems like a pipedream that people can control their dreams. Not sure if true or not

would love to read some thesis on this :joy:

I am sure whatever thesis you find will just rip the theory apart! I was mostly inspired by the youthful optimism but never dedicated enough to try

Some say, practising anything for 21 days turns it into an automatic habit, as it gets imprinted on your neural network. Never could reach 21 days, I guess, it's gonna take more than 21 days for me.

    @noob404 said: ARM VPS?

    yes ARM it is

Oh, that's cool. Never used an ARM VPS before. Hosted on RPis?

Hetzner............... got $20 there to test out their stuff.....

Thats what I have heard about ARM as well. Im surprised it isnt really taking off but perhaps I am just not part of the communities in which it is really thriving. It seems like everything is still AMD or INTEL

it will take time it's mostly due to x64 architecture, but honestly for linux i don't care where i am running it, if ARM gives me better value i will go with it blindly.

Ah wwell that makes some sense in that case. Didnt realize it was only x64. There are definitly systems I work with that only deal with 32 for good reason
