Got too many servers to remember their specs..... Call me wierd but I do hoard servers ...

I used to, but during my hiatus I got rid of most. Here's a screenshot from 2022 just of my RackNerd machines in an uptime monitor. :D

Man, that's a lot. Do all of them have any active projects or are most idling?

I don't have these anymore, but I hosted things like Standard Notes Sync, Bitwarden, and some other things I can't recall. All of them were also part of my TailScale network as endpoints, so basically a quick and easy Wireguard VPN, and it kept them off the public internet. I would default SSH access to only allow on the tailscale network, no need for fail2ban. :)

Recommend a mobile browser. Which one do you use? I am kinda used to Chrome a lot. But, recently, I have been making the switch to safer and better options, starting with the Windows to Lubuntu jump.

firefox with ublock origin is nice, that's what I would recommend. Some other swear by brave which I save give it a try to see if you like it. Everyone is different.

Thanks. This is what I am gonna try. BTW, if I am already running AdGuard on my router, would something like uBlock be required?

Not sure the specifics of AdGuard but uBlock is more than just an ad blocker. They have a website but the github repo also works for more details :)
    https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock

Oh. Been using uBlock on some of my devices. But, never knew they could also block coin miners.

Yeah, it's a nice addon to have running and you can easily disable it if you ever need to (like gleam, some news site's videos won't load with it on, and so on) but most things still work with it on for normal day-to-day usage.

Gonna have to install it back on. I wanna block everything other than ads. I am okay with them, but the other stuff tracking everything is what I wanna get rid of.

    brave

Isnt Brave just Chromium with ad blockers preinstalled?

Yep, no chrome = no problems

What would you say the best setup is for mobile users?

On Android, I recommend Chromite (Chromium-based) and Mull (Firefox-based).

I don't use iStuff, so don't have much insight there.

I'm still using chrome on my laptop and chromebook (obviously) but I'm a bit annoyed they finally pushed out manifest v3/disabled ublock origin. I'm slowly switching to firefox for the stuff where I loved the addition of its ad blocking. The ublock origin lite (manifest v3 version) is just not the same.

Firefox is my go to, on PC and laptops. On my phone, I have come to prefer Chrome. Maybe it's just a habit I need to break.

    firefox (derivatives) all the way

Planning to jump to that soon.

yeah, if I won that, I wouldn't really know what I would do with it. Do you know what it renews at? Asking because it might be fun to try some random things and then do some math for the remaining time + transfer fee and try to sell it to someone else.

I don't like how often firefox wants to communicate with *.mozilla.com domains in the background. You can see what I mean if you configure & run mitmproxy with firefox and then just let it sit there (don't nav to any websites) and you will see how much it communicates with *.mozilla.com domains - I don't like it.
