I see that there is 250GB option for the Object storage in Onidel. What is the difference with minimum 500GB?

it's an less storage option as many people requested. annual payment only.

I believe there is read/write bandwidth limit. The doc is not up to date. Have to talk with our team and get back to you all.

Any updates about the read/write or request limits of the object storage?

not yet. we are considering either allow BW up to x3 - x5 storage, or unlimited with throttling read/write

    Is this history from GreenCloud?

    Hello, yes, it's Greencloud, Birthday sale 1010. 100 USD @ 3 years.

What tool are you using to monitor uptime?

Ahh you don't know. It's Hetrixtools. One of the best free monitoring tools that i have ever used.

Hi - Yes, I have this tool and also got free extra uptime and blacklist monitors from them early this month but couldn't manage time to add my servers yet.

What's the throttling speed? If the throttling speed is still usable, that'd be awesome.

Otherwise, maybe allow up to 5x storage then an affordable charge after. But that would be a bit complicated in billing?

    ….. while @onidel allows 80-85% at most.

    @onidel
Kindly confirm if that is correct about the cpu resource utilization.

Yes, a better way to phrase it is: We generally don't mind if your usage averages around 80-85%, unless the host node is experiencing a shortage of CPU resources. We have set a strict maximum vCPU allocation per hypervisor node, allowing you to utilise available resources as per our guidelines when ample capacity is available. Additionally, we have technical controls in place to automatically enforce limits on VMs and live migrate VMs based on the CPU utilisation of the hypervisor node.

It is subject to change at any time, but for now, we aim to optimise resource usage to provide you with the best possible value.

Let me put in my words
"this is not an issue, if the average cpu utilization (for 24 hour period) is around 45-50%"
and VM won't be subject to enforce limits

there's no guarantee, but in practice, it doesn't seem to be a problem. :)

Hah that’s me now too. The 2CPU/4GB is pretty favourable to the BF plan.

Edit: actually isn’t so bad. BF with 3x bandwidth and faster port for triennial might offset the extra RAM Id get here, considering bandwidth costs to AU services.

Actually I bought a really big plan 8core24gb and the xmas plan is 2x cheaper than the bf plan. While I already paid for that plan for half year so I felt really bad

    That’s unfortunate.

I looked and I got this one payed for 3 years, so 2cpu 4ram 6tb data and 80gb data. Also got a 2gbit port. Paid more, less ram and less storage but transfers up, so not too bad in the end once I go back and look at the data side.

If the 2/4 @ $30 comes back for Sydney I’d swap out another plan that’s ~$12 a quarter probably though.

Yes, we offer a private LAN (Virtual Private Cloud) and a web-based firewall. The firewall applies only to the public interface, as your private network is fully isolated and accessible only by your VMs.
