    Hi LittleCreek,

Invoices: 192628 and 192627, plus I'll refer a bunch of friends to you if this actually works, not that it isn't already great.

    Please copy.

Send your friends to the best provider anywhere. I've been a customer/supporter for 2+ years. You won't be sorry.

  • Please double these! Thank you!

    192629

    192631

Btw, not sure if it's a mistake. But the emails still send the root password. It's duplicated with the second one with XXXXX over password.

I'm not getting any sent to me. Good catch.

Yeah, the email looks like the following:

The information for your VPS is below.

    Server Details

    Main IP: [ip address here]
Root pass: [actual root password here]

    SSH Access Information

    IP Address: [ip address here]
    Root Password: xxxxxxxxxxx

Looks like you added the second portion as a means of masking it, but the original is still there.

Hmm, it‘s kinda a bit weird, I need to put in the hostname, ns1 and ns2. Can’t I simply leave all these 3 blank? I thought I’ll be getting an ip/pw combination to login with ssh as usual

Yes its stupid. But its WHMCS requiring it. There is no easy way to disable it.

Sending a password through email is very dangerous. You can set the password for the VPS once you are logged to the panel which is a password that you set yourself in the order process.

    Hello,

in standard_cart/configureproduct.tpl, you could replace the nameserver code

    https://whmcs.community/topic/254393-dedicated-order-form-ns1-and-2-field-removal/

    < input type="hidden" name="ns1prefix" class="form-control" id="inputNs1prefix" value="noSN1">
    < input type="hidden" name="ns2prefix" class="form-control" id="inputNs2prefix" value="noNS2">

So you can see its not so simple. And it has to be done every time WHMCS is updated.

If that simple solution works, IMO it should be pinned for this and similar offers, would definitely avoid some confusion fr fr 😅

It avoids some confusion for people who are new to the VPS world. 99% of the clients know what to do.

  • Hi, Invoice 192656
    Thank u

  • Hi, here my invoice #192658, please double it. Thanks!

  • Very slow windows VM I found personally. Sometimes 2000+ms average response time for the disk. double ram and BW Invoice 192685 probably wont renew past this first month. I need to stick to dedicated server i think.

No, I think it’s just Littlecreek. I had a windows server but then got rid because it used to freeze randomly. I’d be connected to rdp and internet browser would say page cannot be found. Their Linux servers are fine though. I kept that for a while.

Everywhere else I’ve tried is fine for windows VPs (that support it), if they are slow then they are slow and that’s it. I.e they don’t surprise you and perform well then suddenly die for a bit like they do here.

Why on earth would you try to run windows on a vps?
Windows is a memory hog on a good PC or lsptop. I'm not really sure why its even offered here. I'm a Linux guy do maybe I just don't understand. Good luck anyway.

Hi. No, that’s not the same issue. I couldn’t find anything on it. I could be connected to rdp, play around with paint or whatever but actually going to visit google would say page cannot be displayed like someone unplugged something… yet I was connected via rdp fine then give it 5 minutes and it all works again.

This could’ve been isolated to my VPs instance, due to a bad neighbour, or whatever, I have no idea, but just noting to that person that windows VPs can still be the answer instead of a dedicated.

Like I said, the Linux VPs here was fine. Some providers don’t even offer windows so I only gave it up due to some one off deals I got during Black Friday otherwise I would’ve happily kept the Linux server.

Personally, I install and play with windows on a server, if I can, and see how responsive it really is and then I’ll install Debian or Ubuntu. Just my way of testing.
