for easier comparison between the 12.12 and the pre-christmas sale
I got that email, too. If it were available at the same, or close to similar price, it would be great. But to get similar specs to the 2GB "Sailor" you'd need to get the LA 2GB "Lieutenant." At 80% off it is $38.38/year. Even at 90% off it would be $19.19/year. Also, the CPU's are listed as E5's. Though there are 6 cores vs. 2 on that plan.
The CPU and storage for US is nothing to write home about
agreed. was thinking it would be like the sale from this thread, but sadly not the case
Hey @HostSailor I appreciate the server and the service but I 100% did not sign up to a "
Host Sailor 2017 Discounts" mailing list.
And it seems like I'm not the only one in the thread. That's not great.
20+ Gb/s is what you can get if you are the only one using that machine.
2GB
You think you didn't...
Is your 6/6/66 an EPYC node?
It is
Yabs update: Things are looking great on the IO department back to how it was at the start. They seem to have handled the abusers.
Also after a lot of back and forths they finally resolved the CPU topology issue. Now windows 10 pro or any consumer grade windows works flawlessly with a proper topology of 1 socket and 16 cores. Previously, the topology was 16 sockets and 1 core per socket, hitting the cpu socket limit of 2 in consumer grade windows hence limiting the performance significantly.
So uh, in case anyone wants to transfer any of these services to me, let me know! What an amazing deal, sad what I have missed
Daily YABS of Sailor plan
@HostSailor Backend billing/support is Down again.
Perhaps they will bring some back for Christmas.

I purchased your VPS , and made the payment. But why I can't log in your website, did you stop providing the service? I clicked on the login prompt
Something went wrong and we couldn't process your request.
Anybody having a yabs of their US server?...
Not worth to buy the US server actually.
why?
If your outgoing IPv6 is down (I would guess everyone's is right now)
Today I noticed my VPS got some addresses auto-configured via SLAAC, out of the 2a05:9340:: subnet. Those then get preferred for all outgoing connections from the VPS, but they do not actually work. Another gj for the provider.
To fix, for Debian into
/etc/network/interfaces, in the very end afterup ip -6 route ...lines, add another line:and reboot the VPS.
The spec is way toooooo low end when comparing to their NL plans.
Not really: for less than an extra +$4 there are 4x cores instead of 1x
For what it's worth, my static IPv6 allocation is still working, without SLAAC.
My $6/yr VPS seems fine so far. There were some PHP errors on their site but they fixed it after I opened a ticket. Quite fast for the money IMHO, especially as it wasn't a flash sale.
Daily yabs. Node 6
now is not avble right?
Daily Yabs
O ho ho... It's gone down
Node 6 too
No mo' mini!!!
Has anyone asked if the discount applied to upgrades to a larger plan?
I did .. tru email.. and they said no stock ...
