    What are you trying to build @noob404 ? Lots of the Raspberry Pi boards work well as servers when booting them off a USB hard drive. Micro SD cards are not very good for servers as they tend to need to be replaced often.

    Hey, we were just discussing how Google and its elusive telemetry trackers are around us everywhere. So, I was planning to get a good micro board like the Pi or as TrK recommended the Nano Pi R5S, to install OpenWrt on it and route all connections through it with Adguard DNS and other anti-tracking packages installed.

    Would love to have your opinion and input as well.

    That's one way of doing it. Another option is to look into pfSense or OPNsense, which are BSD-based, and use one of those to do the same.

    Exactly! The newer N100 chips are nice for these. Then you can run OpenWRT on a wifi router behind it.

    I was thinking of getting one but the currently available here don't have 2.5g lan port just a single 1gbit I would end up relying on adaptors I was thinking of importing one but we will see I am currently broke....

    Let's go. We got only 2 pages to 900. Do miss the times when we tear through pages with our comments. But, all for the best, I guess, cause I am able to work on my projects that I plan to upload to my RackNerd VPS soon.
    Anyways, I know everything's gonna go crazy in a few days, with the end of the Social Butterfly Contest so close.
