Do you have SLA guarantee?
Do you have a VPS plan in MY with lots of ram? I need 4 cores, 24 ram, or 2 core 18 ram
https://docs.advinservers.com/policies/sla
We offer Windows Server Evaluation editions, or alternatively you can bring your own ISO if you send us the link in a ticket!
This one is in Miami, FL
We can probably do a partial plan like this (most likely 24GB), open a ticket at https://clients.advinservers.com/contact.php
Most likely it would be $24/month though. We scale the vCPU cores with the amount of RAM, so most like 8.
so... is the limited time offer gone?
We still have some availability, although we'll likely end the Nuremberg promotion soon. Initially, it was intended to be more limited, but we have more spare capacity than we had initially anticipated.
Hello,
We have now launched a new feature, automated backups! 🎉
Every 24 hours (or so), almost¹ every virtual server on our infrastructure will have their backup taken to an off-site and secure location. We try to keep up to 5 days worth of backups. Keep in mind that this is a supplement, and not a replacement for taking your own, individual backups. This feature is included for free with every virtual machine that we have.
Backups can be automatically restored by you at any time through the VPS control panel by clicking on the new "Backups" tab. At the moment, backups are best-effort and we do not guarantee the resiliency of them.
Virtual machines may take a few hours to restore, especially if there is a large disk involved. Backups, by default, are loaded onto slower HDDs and hence have a long restoration time. Often times, it is much quicker, but it ultimately depends on how busy our backup servers are.
We will also soon launch the ability to take your own backups entirely independently. This is a feature that we are working on and hope to have ready soon. We will likely have some sort of backup quota. (possibly 3-5 free backups that you can take on your own time, separate from the 24h automated system).
In addition, we will likely investigate the possibility of a premium backup tier, where you'll have access to significantly faster restoration and backup times.
¹A limited number of older virtual machines may not support this feature due to having an older QEMU version which does not support this new feature. In addition, it could take longer than 24 hours depending on how busy the backup servers are.
This is a great addition.
If I have setup the vps via iso, will that still work? Or do I need to install qemu guest or something to get it working?
Also is it possible to get a dump of the raw backup file (direct download) sometime later?
Thanks
Hello!
Thank you.
I am curious about about last line...
but you could also restore the backup and then dump the raw file yourself.Theoretically how could I achieve this?
Tq advinservers, such a nice added value.
I have far too many VPSs, and that was the one notable feature that was missing from your offerings.
It's like a safety blanket knowing that if some update goes haywire, getting back to working is just click(s) away.
Thank you!
We changed our mind. We are working on this feature and hope to have it out next week. I'm pretty sure you can boot into a rescue system and dd the disk to an image file, but I'm not entirely sure.
That is awesome. Appreciate this gesture.
Looki g forward to see it in action. Incase you want someone to be a tester, I am here.
I saw you had replied to the thread and was expecting
Backups+40gig upgrade was the cherry on top for an already great server! Thank you for the free upgrades!!!
In the VPS control panel, you can now see the CPU utilizations, load averages, CPU model, RAM usage, uptime, cores, memory usages, and network usages on the host node that your virtual server is on. This is not really a useful feature, but I think that it is a step towards some transparency in regard to the host node that your virtual server is on. In the future, we hope to have information about individual CPU temperatures and clocks, but this is still a work in progress.
In addition, we now have some far better graphs in regard to your individual server.
They are ugly, and we will definitely improve the look of the graphs at a later date.
Enjoy!
None of the providers here provide such transparency, WOW
We have now launched a new feature, firewalls! 🔥🧱
Create or delete firewall rules at any time from the brand new "Firewall" tab of your virtual server. At the moment, they do not persist across reinstallations, but we will resolve that soon. In order to restore the firewall back to the default state (disabled), you can just delete all of the rules.
no offer for MY johor vps?thanks
