Also to clarify the most common issues here:

First, if you order was marked for Manual Review, please be patient and wait a while. If you need the order to be approved automatically, please disable VPN/Proxy. Also you can shoot a ticket to billing department to request order approval. If there would be any issues with any order, our billing dept will ask for clarification (typically most common issues we have been having is typo in address/postal code etc... that caused MaxMind to think its fraudulent because of invalid address), after we have corrected details, order will be manually approved.

Secondly, IP geolocation. Since our subnetis announced from Prague under 1 month, its possible that some IP databases / geolocation checkers will show its previous location, we have already sent update requests to MaxMind/IP2Location, and got the changes accepted, IP2Location will have this updated in next release.

Lastly, after order is approved and is in "Pending" state, it means that it will be provisioned on next activation CRON job run, usually should take under one hour (some orders are getting activated in minutes), please be patient during this time.

Hmm, looks like something is generating lot of data on OS disk, going to have a look now.

That's not the first time I saw this error.

I also have strange network problems, ssh gets disconnected regularly after several minutes. My NTP server monitoring shows also regular problems, however the IPv6 connectivity is almost flawless. So it looks like too trigger happy firewall of some sort?

    Good day @Vojta702

How's business? If you're not too busy could you take a look at Ticket #8789773 -6dba-

Take your time, it's the weekend. Tomorrow will be fine if that suits you.

Would like to get a refund before Christmas so I have funds to meet with @emgh for an intimate get-together.

Don't bother. I opened an emergency technical department ticket almost 3 days ago (#6191395) about not able to SSH or otherwise access the server for 1 week. I can't even reinstall the server from the control panel. No response yet.

He says he has 14 days to process refunds after request. I doubt he will get to mine before the weekend. Been 11 days now so.... I'll escalate it at PP on Friday. He hasn't responded to them yet either.

I've been polite, understanding and willing to wait. He chose to be disrespectful.

I really don't get that kind of attitude. Why start a business if you can't provide basic support, or at least give meaningful responses?

    I agree, summerhost/scam.

  • The strange thing is that VPS in Prague is either expensive (much more than in neighboring Germany with higher costs of living) or it comes with poor support, misconfigurations, manual setup and all kinds of strange things. Why can't there be something afforadbable yet professional?

I'm new to LowEndTalk, and this post is such a dive into this place's guts...

Sorry, but do all of you play the business kindergarten in here? Like in those KidZania attractions? Calling a single person who bought a WHMCS license and rented a server a "provider", calling yourselves who rent <$1 VPSes "clients"... I don't know if it's public knowledge around here, but it feels like whoever's in charge of the low end providers are either students trying to gain experience running a business, people starting a side hustle (emphasis on "side"), or both. Which makes it all the more weird to see people opening serious tickets expecting there to be actual "departments" from a provider that has a package labeled as "test" on a website that is supposedly in production.

This is the cycles of LET. We pay chicken we expect caviar.
