    It's just for Media storage for the Jellyfin server running atop my Android box. So, 1TB should be enough.

    How do you connect that to Android box? You want to buy an external ssd?

    Nah, an internal SSD works fine with a simple SATA to USB cable.

    I suggest an enclosure to be on safe side.

    Yup, installing them one by one. But, have no experience with them yet. This is mostly applicable for GUI apps on Windows. Glad that I moved to Linux though, as most of the time for my projects I have had to use either WSL or a VM. This would be much better, I guess.

    I did use Xubuntu years ago, and did like it. But, have used Lubuntu more than Xubuntu in the past few years. Hence the choice.

    Yes, was a bit difficult with the setup, especially moving files and converting the partitions to ext4. I prefer that over NTFS. Currently, moving files on a 5400RPM HDD, so, you know, it's frustrating.

    You are running OS in HDD?

    No. On an NVMe. Just had a few files on HDD, especially the VM's VDIs. Was a struggle backing them up and then moving them.

    Yup, VDIs are big and take lots of time to move, esp if you store them in single file like me.

    I just tarred the important files within each of these VDIs. They themselves were pretty large.

    What do you run on those VMs?

    Every one of my Linux projects including builds of kernels and some distros was done on those VMs.

    Didn't try for SSDs. Have external HDDs from Seagate and WD though. And a WDMyCloudMirror NAS. (one Red drive failed after 3 years).

    Comes with 5 year warranty those ready red drives aren't they?

    The WD NAS warranty mentioned only 3 years. :(

    Yeah, my bad ready red ones are 3 years only...

    And I did a mistake. I removed Raid to get 3TB extra storage. (3+3). 🤦‍♂️

    Never ever go without raid if your data is precious.

    Lesson learnt at the expense of 2TB data. :| It happened some years back.

    Always have backups 😭

    Mostly they are cancelling orders if there are any pricing errors. Did you find any recently? They used to ship everything in the beginning.

    Bought lots of stuff at that time that I'm still using like logitech keyboards, ssds, 1 hdd , so many...

    over the network ? host a jellyfin server locally atleast that is what I do

    yep, and if you want to watch stuff on the go, download it at home to the device from jellyfin, or set up something like talescale

    Yup, installing them one by one. But, have no experience with them yet. This is mostly applicable for GUI apps on Windows. Glad that I moved to Linux though, as most of the time for my projects I have had to use either WSL or a VM. This would be much better, I guess.

    I did use Xubuntu years ago, and did like it. But, have used Lubuntu more than Xubuntu in the past few years. Hence the choice.

    Yes, was a bit difficult with the setup, especially moving files and converting the partitions to ext4. I prefer that over NTFS. Currently, moving files on a 5400RPM HDD, so, you know, it's frustrating.

    No. On an NVMe. Just had a few files on HDD, especially the VM's VDIs. Was a struggle backing them up and then moving them.

    Yup, VDIs are big and take lots of time to move, esp if you store them in single file like me.

    I just tarred the important files within each of these VDIs. They themselves were pretty large.

    What do you run on those VMs?

    Every one of my Linux projects including builds of kernels and some distros was done on those VMs.

    Lost interest in gaming a long time ago. Used my PS4 for testing Linux stuff more than gaming.

    Mostly they are cancelling orders if there are any pricing errors. Did you find any recently? They used to ship everything in the beginning.

    Bought lots of stuff at that time that I'm still using like logitech keyboards, ssds, 1 hdd , so many...

    Oh yah. I have heard of Flipkart cancelling em, not Amazon. As for recent finds, not any on computer peripherals.

    I have made this a habit now regardless of the price of the item
