They responded to my ticket and assigned a /64 to my vps. After trying to reconfigure the networking, my vps is unresponsive, though. Lots of reboots and errors, but unable to ping.

The node I am working on was directly reinstalled with Debian 11, and it seems that the network configuration was automatically written in. Other nodes might not behave the same way.

Now their control panel is struggling

There seems to have been a slight problem with our database, please try again later.

I tried loggin in -> "invalid password".

Tried password reset -> got a new password in email, but now the 2FA isn't working (neither TOTP nor the recovery codes).

This one is not even good for idling.

Anyhow on node6 network is still down, no resolution whatsoever

How is YABS plummeting? 13k was the initial score if I remember. or was it something else?

    Connectivity just came back:

    Connection still up for me

How the hell do you guys expect decent performance or stability if everyone is continuously running benchmarks? Of course performance is going to be degraded.

The provider got overwhelmed, is it too much to wait until Tuesday or something before asking for refunds?

By the way, I was one of the first to order just minutes after the deal was published and my VM has been stable and fine for the entire time, other than the IPv6 issue which was resolved within a reasonable timeframe.

Same... Ordered straight away, slight degradation at first but no real issues. Running fine. I mean, it's pretty smooth for $6/y.

Still have to install the remaining 9 servers. I think they've spread them across different nodes so let's see how that pans out.

My network always need to be restarted (systemctl restart networking) to be working for a while and then goes off again. Anyone experiencing the same issue? Both my vps suffer from the same issue.

  • Ordered 2 vps's, took them about 24 hours to get deployed. No problems, both work as expected. Put in a ticket with low priority to get ipv6, I figured they have a lot to do so did not expect a quick answer but it took only a few hours and a /64 was assigned to each vps.

Solid experience so far, way better than expected considering I basically paid a cup of coffee for this. Actually, when I think about it I've probably had coffees that cost twice as much and was a total disappointment, here I get a vps for a year. It's kind of fascinating that people still demand everything, the entitlement in this thread is amazing.
Never used HostSailor before but I know they are a og in the game, I hope this does not put them out.

How long have you been purchasing to obtain your vps , and what system are using? I have not been able to connect to it since I paid and so far it shows offline. Does it have good performance results?

Not at the moment. I upgraded to Debian 12 via netboot.xyz.

Sure, it's cheap, but from what I see, people aren't asking for "everything" - just the basics. For example: "two days after I got the VPS, I still can't access the VPS or control panel" or issues like "my VPS goes up and down every few minutes".

Yes, it's cheap, and yes, it works for you - that's great. But there's no need to be a jerk toward people who aren't as lucky, despite the price they paid.
Imho, things will stabilize over time, but at this moment, I don't see any unreasonable posts, just people reporting issues that are preventing them from using their VPS.

I haven't posted anything so far, nor have I opened a ticket, as there’s most likely a huge backlog, but while my Node 1 VPS works, this is my VPS on Node 4. It's no better than a cup of bad, really bad, coffee. Wouldn't you agree? :)

I'm not disappointed or anything, having been a client of their terrible budget OpenVZ nodes for years.
I'm just saying that some people are happy when their budget vps work, even if it's not perfect, while others aren't so happy because their vps don't work at all or isn't even semi usable.

Clearly there are wildly different expectations. Anyone paying $6/y and expecting ANY kind of response on a Saturday after an event like this, is expecting too much by my book.

It is super obvious that they got overwhelmed, and reading this thread it is also evident that they are working on resolving issues, tickets have been getting responses, issues are being resolved, etc. The queue must be just too long.

Patience goes a long way, and they have been a decent trusted provider for many years already, so I'd cut them some slack.

And by the way, there have been some unreasonable posts even from the first page. I highly doubt that they will repeat a promotion like this.

@Nyr said: Anyone paying $6/y and expecting ANY kind of response on a Saturday after an event like this, is expecting too much by my book.

Yeah, I know, but it’s not like yesterday or, say, the day before, was Saturday, right?

Besides that, I was responding solely to his patronizing fascination with "people still demand everything" which isn't completely in sync with the comments we're seeing here. I didn’t bother commenting to criticize the host.
People are generally happy when things work for them, and unhappy when they don’t.

Do you even read the comments?

My VPS on node 4 is running smoothly and stable, the network is also very fast.

Yeah, I see random reports from people on the same nodes - ranging from good to the worst. Quite a strange contrast.

By the way, my VPS on Node 4 is also up all the time, and the network is fast. It just gets disconnected every now and then. Not that I care right this moment, it's just one idler more than replaced my ancient recently cancelled 256MB hostsailor snails. I was just commenting on some posts above.

  • Confirmed for @HostSailor - the node kvmnvme06 has serious issues. Some templates don't work and booting from a CD does not work at all.
