thanks, where do they list it? on the usual vps product page?
https://www.netcup.com/en/server/vps
because after they get enuff money, they run away with your millions and make you lose billions while u search for replacement server
Surely not with Greencloud @NDTN . Been using their services for years.
Or from the gas station garden.
We don't profit from the $1 VPS; it's designed to attract customers.
When you pay for a big provider or an hyperscaler(such as AWS) you are paying for stability, support and their software stack. Some services provided here have no uptime guarantee and have pretty poor performance due to overselling while an ec2 instance has almost the same performance across the world.
However if you only need something for personal usage or for a small project they are indeed the best option.
With all your comments, you've convinced me to stick with Hetzner at €66/year for 2 vCore + 4GB RAM + 40GB Storage
Nice. It looks like you haven't learned much
🤭
I was once a IONOS customer spending $24/yr just for 1c1g10gb before I find the gem in this forum. Thank god i found u LET
plot twist: i spent much more on vps and left them idling...
now you can let 4 vps idle
I'm used to paying DigitalOcean $5/$6 for 1c1g20g per month... for 6 years.
Then one day I happened to find a deal somewhere from Contabo for 4c6g100g for $66/yr, and my mind was blown.
But the server was down for 8 days straight and I couldn't find a place to open a ticket. I searched for a solution and I found LET.
It's been almost half a year.
I'm proud to own 23 VPSs now. Most of them make me very happy, even though I don't know what I can use them for. But the feeling of owning them is good.
Whatever, I love it here.
I pay $5.75 / month with NetCup for
4x vCore / 8 GB / 512 GB NVMe
There are times when even premium providers can have deals.
which location? I recently opened up an Indian account with, they it goes via CA account..
Yeah, I know. But now I've figured out that those 2c-2g servers are more suitable for me. I'm not a Windows server & rdp expert like you. I don't have any projects to run. I don't need those big premium VPSs to idle. But these small machines give me some kind of hope to do something or learn something practical for a reasonable price, maybe?
I guess almost ppl here buy vps for fun too 🤣 no one tell about real usecase, they buy tons of 12M vps but just need one from hetzner or netcup
