Install AlmaLinux 9 once, then you can reinstall to any other OS such as Debian 12, and the real CPU will be kept. Also don't forget to change Network card in the panel from Intel PRO/1000 to Virtio for improved network speeds.

Oh boy, CPU performance is continuously declining. Great offer, though!

hi, how do you get AMD EPYC instead of QEMU? AES-NI and VM-x/AMD-V? they all disabled in my vps
btw, I'm also on same node kvmnvme04.hostsailor.com

I tried alma 8, debian 12, ubuntu 22 and ubuntu 24, but all have similar results
my single core gb6 result is far behind, 816 only, :(

    Single Core | 816
    https://browser.geekbench.com/v6/cpu/9411139

Install alma linux. Then install debian.

    Edit: or Ubuntu

thanks, i tried alma 8 first but no luck
and then alma 9 + ubuntu 24 works

  • All offers out of stock :/

  • All sold out now. Good plans I guess.

  • Yeah, they were indeed good.
Perhaps devs top up the stock, asking for a friend 🙈

  • got provisioned on node6. And its down too

  • Network is pretty unstable. Can't ping or login to SSH at random time.

yeah I am waiting a week for them to fix their stuff. Otherwise refund time. They've been around for a while so hopefully know their beans.

    Hello,
After waiting for over a day, my machine finally got released from pending status and successfully booted up. However, I still don't know what the root password is, and I haven't received any emails. I can't login without root password. I didn't receive any emails from the account registration to the machine boot-up. And I also couldn't find any records on the Account email history (https://clients.hostsailor.com/clientarea.php?action=emails).

    Thank you!

  • If you reinstall it, it will assign a new root password, at the top of the screen.

  • Network to Asia is not great. It's being routed from Asia to the US to Europe, around 300ms. If I vpn to Hong Kong, I can get a direct connection ~ 190ms, but the upload is < 1mbps (Cogent).

I have a ticket in for IPv6. If they'll enable it, I can see if the routing is any better.

Before the network issues i was getting in the 150 to 170 ms to Asia ( Singapore, India) but now it is around 300ms with multiple drops.. hope it gets better

Are transfers allowed? Meaning From my account to someone else's account
If transfers are allowed is there a Fee?
If yes to both what steps do we follow to do a transfer.

You barely got it and are already thinking about reselling? Fucking scalpers...
