    uk-hh-cmp where HH is hosthatch and cmp is compute, Stg for storage, hyb for hybrids 🤣

    My naming Scheme is
    (Host)(ServiceNumber).(ServiceType).2.co

    I should add region also I guess which would make it
    (Region).(Host)(ServiceNumber).(ServiceType).2.co

    Yeah, upside would be that it leaves a lot of room for expansion. I'm currently thinking about naming them by Beatles song.

    Used to do name.service.domain.tld. could simplify that to letitbe.domain.tld. but would need a spreadsheet to tell me where letitbe is hosted at and what it's doing.

    I'd start with Beatles The One album. 25 songs give or take. I did that actually almost a decade ago and my monster vps at that time had hostname YellowSubmarine. The first dedicated was HeyJude, followed by PennyLane, PaperBackRider....
