I have a website and application that displays images and videos. I am quite in a dilemma to choose a cheap data storage server with good performance. I am currently using Bunny Storage SSD, but I might want to switch as it is quite expensive, 1TB costs $20 per month for SSD and $10 per month for HDD. But they have free API calls and free bandwidth (But it's paid if use CDN).
Wasabi and IDrive have cheap prices, but the bandwidth offered in my opinion is quite small, which is according to the total size of the files stored. Backblaze has quite a lot of bandwidth, which is 3x the size of the files stored, but unfortunately they charge for the API. Cloudflare? The price is quite expensive and charges for the API.
I have thought about taking an offer like Storage VPS, but honestly I don't know how the VPS will perform. Especially since image and video files will be accessed continuously by users, so I'm worried that the upload speed offered by the server is not fast enough.
If you have any suggestions, which one do you think I should take?

Having VPS is great because you are not limited by the provider. On the other hand, it involves more work on your side (installing, maintaining, patching etc). Anyway, one option could be getting two VPSs in one DC and then connect them via internal network, this may give you crazy 40Gbps connection or something similar. The downside is, of course, redundancy but you may want to get a few servers in different DC and create your own CDN. Again, this will involved more work at your end.

I see most vps only have 1 Gbps port and it is shared. So I am a little doubtful, especially if the neighbors use their vps to do large data backups.
I think this is very possible if the port offered is 1 Gbps dedicated.

How much storage and bandwidth are we talking? VPS might not be the right choice precisely due to shared uplink
Well, dedicated servers are available, if noisy neighbours is an issue.
Right now it's probably around 100GB because I compressed all my files, and I also refrained from uploading many files at once. But it will definitely continue to grow. If it's for bandwidth, it should probably be at least 2x the total file size.

Budget is up to you, but if I were to ask for a price I would probably want something like this:
Storage under $4/TB/m.
Bandwidth probably at least 2-3x the storage.

200GB bandwidth is basically nothing, most if not all offers here are measured in TB. What's your expected growth-rate for storage/bandwidth?
I would probably go with two or three VPS, depending on how far your audience is spread across the world and switch to dedicated servers if you outgrow the vps' bandwidth or storage limits.
Though bunny is very reasonably priced...
idrive only provides bandwidth equivalent to the total files stored. If it exceeds it can be limited or suspended. If it is only a limit, it may be okay, but if it is suspended, there will be many complaints from users.
Cloudflare is very expensive bro.
Currently I only store 100GB, but the amount of bandwidth for access can be around 3-5x, more precisely around 340-470GB.
Well, I also think Bunny HDD has a fairly reasonable price.

Did you thought about image optimizing and video transcoding? You can definitely use object storage, but bunny and other similar tool exist for a reason. Whe you stream with bunny they transcode it for different resolution and deliver based on bandwidth and device type. Same for image.

If performance and cost are your top priorities, Backblaze is a good option, but keep an eye on API costs. also, you might want to explore a Storage VPS with good reviews, it could offer the balance of speed and affordability you need for your images and videos.
Yeah I was also thinking about using Backblaze, if only the API fees were free maybe that would be the best choice.

If you have this much content already stored on the CDN, would it be worth the hassle to migrate it to some storage server(-s)?
I never used a CDN, but I assume that URLs will change, so you will need to handle that, besides potentially losing the existing links (if any).
