Kebab delivered. Good night guys.
I want to use it, build some cool projects around them, but the reality tells me that I am no longer a young kid with no responsibility attached, I can no longer do whatever just for fun without consequences. I need to work to earn money, I need money to maintain a relationship and form a family...
I still buy electronic components because I like to tinker around them, but reality is I never even opened the box of so many microcontrollers that I purchased. I can see the old me is dying bit by bit.

I get it. I have a shitload of electronics that I haven't touched, too. That's why I like declarative configs these days. NixOS (or nix in general) won't let a config be applied if it doesn't work, so I can't leave things broken. I can declare a Docker container or microvm, and it works, or doesn't. Coupled with version control, it's ideal for me. And with LLMs being really good at functional languages, they accelerate me getting configs written.
That's my life in a nutshell too except I guess I'm older at almost 40 than most here
Nothing like an existential crisis on a Friday morning
I realized I'm kind of like @FAT32 too, but I still enjoy buying new VPS boxes or some fun stuff, though they just gather dust now and I can't play around with them freely anymore.😭

Yet another thing to thank @FAT32 for
But in the bright side it feels good not to be the only one.
if I can keep only one vps, it would be ....

Running script to catch bad guys' ip addresses

Now the bus has change name to Sugeng Rahayu
What script is this?
Switching to key-based login is indeed much better because I found that the SSH on my New Zealand VPS is being brute-forced through port scanning by malicious actors.
That is Windows 11 Enterprise OS in my case
Even they have to “guess” the userid
One bad actor tried over 8k userids … That is on a different VPS … only use case to capture bad actors’ data
I selected the most recent 20 failed login attempts caused by brute-force attacks.
i'd like to see them guess my 6 digit password, impossible to be hacked.
100% isnt my birthday either so good luck hackermans
Does it start with 12345
In my opinion this thread has run its course. Black Friday is long gone (2 weeks ago). Many already started preparing for Christmas.
@FAT32 - maybe it is best to close this (just a thought).
