Why that one, specifically?
Our current Aristas, while capable, can't hold all the routes we'd want. Had I known this before I'd have bought more expensive units from the get-go. Tonight the KCIX peer list was audited to give preference to networks we really want to peer with and not so much random hobby nets. Ideally it'll be more residential ISPs and telecoms and major networks like Cloudflare, Akamai, etc.
So, hopefully "soon" we'll do an upgrade so we can take advantage of all the great IX points at the facility. I had put in a request for HOUIX, STLIX, and MICE before I realized we're limited in how much we could actually utilize them right now. Was considering SIX via extension but didn't want to shell out the money for it just yet (The others are free or cheap).
