ah, so consumer grade then?
I guess that's still a pro for the Advance
although, not very significant given the price difference
Which RBX datacenter is it located in ? RBX5 ?
new RISE spec is sexy...
RBX6.
RBX5 is Atoms.
Is it guaranteed 1GBs or same as RISE-LE and no guarantee?
What is a "no guarantee" ? I grabbed a few RISE-LE and they all have 1Gbit outgoing.
Yes but not guaranteed
hmmm
I created an API order
drive says
"2x SSD NVMe 512GB Enterprise Class Soft RAID rental - 1 month"
weird considering it's the MZVL2512HCJQ
Deymm powerful!
leave ex44 now.
Gen3 SATA SSD (although DC classed I think?)
If OVH had just put in some proper DC gen4 NVMe I'd happily pay a bit more
The CPU is incredibly capable, disk should be as capable
There was some RISE-LE with gen3...very random they seem to just throw in whatever they have on hand
From which server?
KS-LE-1 32gb 2x480 no lottery
I hope the drive info isn't for a Rise-S because if so, they advertise:
SSD NVMe 512GB Enterprise Class
But so far one got NVMe but not enterprise and one got enterprise but not NVMe?
Edit: Not Rise-S
Was yours not delivered yet?
You grabbing one @wuck
Didn't pay, undecided
Wanted to try one but bit lazy to setup API for CA subs
It makes the recent RISE-LEs look bad value in comparison to this beast
Yea, I tried to modify nugget.py but it keeps telling me there is stock but its not creating invoice
Damn OVH keeps bringing excitement. I need some rest before Christmas
No idea how that script works but there is a discrepency between the catalog and the availability end point.
In /dedicated/server/datacenter/availabilities, the memory looks like this:
"memory": "ram-64g-on-die-ecc-5200"And in /order/catalog/public/eco
"ram-64g-rise-s"This makes my script not see the availability, but still able to order since it uses the values from the catalog.
You were able to make an invoice with it?
Yes.
agree 100%
it's a shame that such brand new and capable cpu is coupled with small low end consumer grade nvme, and only because that i don't see it as a good deal, well, unless you totally not care about the disk, for example using it as a transcoder node or similar...
hetzner's 5950x (still more performant than that 9700x multicore) with 128GB ECC RAM and equipped with 2 x 3.84T enterprise NVMe was only ~62€ when it was most affordable to buy on the auction! but of course, it's 50% more expensive now... so can't really compare...
I’m sure there will be gen4 drives in some of them ovh doing ovh things it was the same with the rise-le some had gen3 some had gen4
MZVL2512HCJQ-00B07 is gen4, no?
although, it's consumer grade, unlike the API/order data
I believe it's the same stuff Hetzner put in the EX44 (although not all of them I think), but they say it's consumer
