Production VPS in HK from HostHatch down for more than 24 hours

They acknowledged it in a ticket. But it is still down. Their overall status page does not acknowledge this.
I am really suffering because of this.
Not sure what to do. I had some specific licenses that were bound to that specific machine and I cannot get new ones until next year.

Anybody else having such issues with HostHatch VPS?

@hosthatch - Please help. #650825

It is really not about the money. 15 bucks is inconsequential in this scenario. Why do you ask that?

  • Welcome to LowEndSupport, your waiting time has been doubled.

You mean bound to the IP of the VPS?

A Machine ID that is bound to that VPS. I have tried. I don't have any alternatives right now.

    $15 per month.
HostHatch is not production? I missed that memo! For over 6 months, I had no issues - but here we are now.

Yes, this is the regular priced service. Not the BF deal. I know the BF deal is tier 2 support.

Yes, I have learned my lesson. I am speaking with the provider for an extra license.

I think they mean for whatever software they were using that was tied to that one HWID.

Why don't you try cloud vps providers like vultr Or digital ocean, or azure or aws like, cloud vps not tied to single node, incase or failure, they could boot up in another.

I use it as a windows desktop replacement for financial day trading. Low latency and high availability is something I want at all times.

Well just saying but its also good to have vps with some big provider too if possible since its about money and you do earn money [I hope so] and that will not completely make you dependent on one thing

I am not consistently profitable yet, but I am close.

Yes, I now have backup machines and even Parallels on my Macbook - I will get a dedicated Windows laptop (ugh) for this eventually.

It is important for me to have a VPS based in Hong Kong. Last year I was with Aeza until they closed operations in a lousy way.

Maybe it is time to look for a new provider... sigh. HH were really good, until they were not.

Well that's ok but can't blame anything personally, I believe its better for you instead to buy a windows laptop itself or maybe buy a mini pc and have colocation there or try another provider maybe

Blame has no place in trading (or life).

Because I travel a lot to mainland China, I prefer the ability to login / RDP into a reliable machine. What are some good VPS providers in HK (second preference SG or Tokyo) with 32 GB ram and BYO ISO?

    GreencloudVPS. In all 3 locations.

@bojackhorseman, I may not understand exact type of deployment host applies. Typically one who call cloud VPS, they mean that VPS OS/data is stored over centralized storage, if the host machine fails, they could deploy that on any other machines may be immediate or in few seconds or minutes or hours of downtime. I am not sure whether your license specific to hardware or OS/Network IP/MAC address. We don't see a node down for long time in vultr, digital ocean or cloud native setup, but we do knew that that node has lost, came up from reboot state mostly on other hosts

  • For production use maybe choose a reliable enterprise cloud solution sir ok

Well, now you know that HostHatch can be down for days without any reply to your ticket.

Either you live with that, or you pay up. Don’t use cheap LET deals if you can’t take the downtime.

While I’ve heard good things about GreenCloud, they’re also just another cheap VPS provider.
