Could there be a serious VPS company here?

    Hello,

We just posted some offers that might fit what you're looking for:

    https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/200632/nohavps-amd-epyc-7742-ryzen-9950x-vps-from-5-00-2-gb-ram-40-gb-nvme-free-domain-com#latest

If you're not satisfied, we'll give you your money back. :)

  • @naranjatech is pretty solid.

  • 10 + for @contabo_m

  • If it’s just personal for an extra work or storage space then I’d say pick up an annual from:

Virmach appear to be ok and have Black Friday deals still on at https://VPs.blackfriday but if you plan on using more than 35% cpu often or contact support then don’t bother. This has a windows option.

Colocrossing have decent deals but don’t expect email server to work if that’s what you are planning on setting up. Has a windows option.

Ethernetservers seems alright but no windows.

If it’s for small production then I’d suggest

Littlecreek seem well established. They have a windows option if you buy the windows VPs otherwise you cannot install windows on a Linux VPs later.

Prepaid-host which is German and supports a better than average cpu usage policy. Think they specialist in gaming servers too put it that’s way. I’d use them for production because although they are in Germany I believe I saw them say if you get bother I.e. an abuse notice, they said they will work with you versus someone like virmach who would just say “account terminated”. And they aren’t so large like netcup so you should get good customer support with them.

Netcup who are German and not on this forum but are probably the most serious provider I have personally come across. If you like serious, you will have a blast there. They are also serious about dcma requests. Fairly sure they’ll just suspend your server on a weekend but make you wait until Monday to be able to sort it out. (I’d offer a 5 euro voucher but I keep getting warnings when I do so I will not in case 1 voucher is classed a spam. But message if you want one).

Bullethost I would normally recommend as it was my favourite but out of all my servers they have and the most downtime (x2 times but nothing like massivegrid is like). However, will note them as they claim to be dcma friendly/ignored so hopefully I don’t have to worry about losing a the server asap due a dcma related issue)

Also charityhost, just think of them like littlecreek but with a little hostdzire with windows install option on Linux vps. Hostdzire also like charityhost with loads of Remote Desktop packages.

Those are my suggestions but everything else before mine are fine. Though if you go with racknerd yes great deals but be advised custom iso is supported but good luck getting it to work.

  • I have had no uptime problems with any of @labze @NDTN (GreenCloud) or @berohost , can fully recommend them.

    Thanked by 1NDTN

Hi @eb1995 -- Just sent you a DM to gather more specifics about your experience, so we can investigate thoroughly. We actually use SolusVM for powering our VPS management panel (the same VPS control panel software that many other providers here and within the hosting industry utilize), so the custom ISO functionality should work normally - perhaps there was an issue with the ISO itself?

P.S. As you pointed out, yes we do support custom ISO, completely free of charge. The procedure is outlined here: https://my.racknerd.com/index.php?rp=/knowledgebase/59/Does-RackNerd-VPS-support-Custom-ISO.html

Looking forward to getting more information so we can get to the bottom of this :)

  • Very happy with @crunchbits and @NDTN (Greencloud)

Support is what’s expected and service is spectacular. Can’t complain

Is there a serious VPS company here? I see a lot of comments about very bad companies, that's why I don't decide to buy anything here, every day I check to see what's going on and I see a lot of people complaining.

I want a 2 RAM and 2 core VPS but I'm afraid to buy and then I have a lot of problems.

That is the main problem in the post-industrial world: finding the right and proper vendor. There are too many vendors with similar goods or services, and there are too many fake reviews about them.

However, some rules for choosing a vendor still apply: company status (whether it is a registered company and in what country), company age, and company legal information. This does not guarantee that you will be happy with the vendor for many years, but it can at least guarantee that you won't lose your data or money.

    So far, I've worked with @RoyaleHosting , @MikeA (extravm), @layer7 , @SpeedBus (crowncloud), @servarica_hani , @fiberstate - and never had any issue with them.

So, try to lookup a little before choosing a provider. A basic LET/Google search with their brand name should reveal any mischief.

I would personally never choose some of the top recommended hosters here by some other people, but I guess everyone has their standards and own understanding of "trustworthy".
