I came across this just now, probably doesn't have the features you asked for.

I am trying to order the plan in the image. It clearly says "Uses your own domain" .

However, I feel like they meant "Uses your own domain that your purchase from us"

The renewal prices on the domains kinda suck though.

That’s a lot of storage for the price

Fastmail.com, $5/mo and it includes everything you need.

fm is solid but to expensive.

its literally 5 bucks. I don't know how that's considered expensive, especially considering everything you get, but if you're really on a tight budget i would rather pay the extra for fastmail than to stick with some random sketchy provider that can read my inbox at their own will.

  • inbox.eu ... 10€/y for 100GB is just insane

And it seems to work great! No problems at all so far and the spam filtering is much better than Hetzner's.

  • @vitobotta said: I am currently using a web hosting package from Hetzner for the email hosting for my personal angles pizza menu domains. It works super well apart from the number of false positives and false negatives I get due to their spam filtering.

Often legitimate emails end up in spam or the opposite happens.

Besides, since I use Hetzner for various other things I'd like to keep email separate rather than having too many eggs in one basket.

Is there a decent provider that

is not too expensive (it's for personal stuff)

has native calendars and contacts support via CalDAV, CardDAV, apart from IMAP for email
importantly, has a very good spam filtering
    ?

Consider Mailbox.org or Fastmail. Both offer strong spam filtering, CalDAV/CardDAV support, and are affordable for personal use. Mailbox.org is known for privacy, while Fastmail offers a user-friendly interface and robust filtering. They’re both great options for keeping email separate from Hetzner.

Completely different products. Anything I talked to Jarland about didn’t apply at all here. Metrics, server builds, user loads, etc. None of whatever we discussed translates to how SM works or how we built our nodes. While we originally used his relay setup for our shared nodes, that was replaced in August when we brought in spamexperts.

And that’s my peace on that :)
