    Still waiting on my Frankfurt VPS to be setup after 2 days, and the NY VPS was so slow I couldn't even get Ubuntu 24 to finish installing on it. Not a good sign so far.

    We've seen that Ubuntu struggles to install with 1GB RAM from original ISOs. We'll switch to OS templates for that reason. We're opening up a ticket to our support team to install the OS for you for both servers.

    That may be but I've easily installed Ubuntu 24 server on 512 MB AWS and Vultr instances and they never took more than 10 minutes.

    Thank you! We're running lots of upgrades on the background for the portal speed (next week), the Frankfurt customers migration to the new Frankfurt cluster (seamlessly and next week too) and we'll enable OS templates so that the installation is completed very fast.

  • I just purchased a VPS from you and installed Ubuntu, but I can't find the root account to log into the VPS. I tried using the root account and password you sent in the email (the same as the one in the guide), but I can't log in.

    24x7 Stellar Support: Our support heroes are rated 9.5/10 and are always ready to leap into action for you.

    Basically it says you can wait 24x7, and they are ready to leap into action, but doesn't say when they actually do.

    Good luck, from my experience it's up to the gods and their mood-of-the-day if they are willing to answer your question. Also they like to point out that you should send a ticket to a different 'department', while when you put a ticket in there they still don't directly answer your question but are seeking the same excuses that things are your fault.

    BTW: I think tickets are closed automatically after 3 days or so of inactivity. So keep the thing going before that.

    Please make sure that you're using the correct SSH port. We're using non-standard port for SSH for security reasons. If you have a ticket number, please share it in a PM or here. Thank you.

    But have some Question about upgrades, quote from the upgrade page:

    • Primary High Availability SSD Storage (GB): 128 => 1024 x $261.15 USD

    But no duration noted anywhere (Hint!).

    1. Is this price for the whole remaining time or yearly or whatever ?
    2. Will the contents of the current fs or partitions preserved (could do resize2fs myself), or is it a automated clean reinstall ?
