Is there any way to get the dates in UK format i.e. dd/mm/yy - particularly in the reports ?
Changing the language to English (UK) seems to swap the date formats in most areas, but I don't see a change on the reports tab. That's something we can ask them about.
I've gone ahead and just listed larger lifetimes up to 1TB. Creating too much extra work for myself asking people to order multiple and ticket to combine
Can find them listed here: https://namecrane.com/store/email-hosting-deals
It's normal the following: I linked Gmail, I receive a new email, I see it in Namecrame and I mark it as read but if I go to my Gmail it appears as unread
Will NameCrane reseller and shared users be provided with this new webmail/e-mail interface or is this just for special e-mail package buyers?
This is a separate product. You'd have to buy this service and use it.
There's no real way to plug this into DA.

I don't understand what you guys are referring to. I'll have to head over to the sales web page to try and figure out what the options are.
Oh ok. Thank you for the clarification.
What part is confusing?
From what I could tell from the question, the user was asking if this new panel was going to get baked into the Shared/Reseller plans for free as a value-add and not as an outright separate product line.
I hope that helps!
Francisco
Yes, Gmail uses POP to fetch. It does not provide two way sync or message state sync like IMAP
Francisco, as busy as you must be, you're being generous with your time here.
I thought I was carefully reading this thread but I must be missing details. You guys are talking about a new mail or panel interface, which is presumably different from the SmarterMail product mentioned in the very first post (over a week ago). Is the "new" one not SmarterMail?
I'm excited about what you're doing here, and I just want to understand what options are available.
Aah
Smartermail is the new product. We've expanded on Smartermail via our own 'CraneMail' portal that's built into the billing system. It provides all the reseller controls as well as the ability for a user to have multiple domains.
By default Smartermail would only give a user a single domain (or people have to use something like Plesk to handle more). We didn't want to involve another control panel, so instead we simply built out the Cranemail portal to help.
Francisco
Okay, thank you. So was the question about whether existing shared web hosting customers would get the newer interface?
No.
I think what they're hoping for is that we'd be replacing cPanel/DA's current webmail functionality (and user handling) with smartermail instead.
Francisco
By the way, is the annual $10 price recurring?
Edit: NVM, I see on page 3 the answer is yes and linked to the billing cycle you choose.
I have purchased a $20 email service for three years. Can I pay the price difference to upgrade it to permanent?
Sure. We'd be cancelling the $20 service, credit you, then you order whatever lifetime.
Francisco
I might be asking too much. Is it possible to have notion integration?
still waiting for teh EU offers!
Gentle reminder for @Francisco, fully understand it’s now the weekend so it may have to wait a few more days
For the UI, I don't like how replies aren't chained in one email like in most modern clients. Is this something that can be configured or something that needs to be changed upstream with SmarterMail?
I just signed up and added my first domain. Added all required DNS records. Can anyone direct me to documents showing how to setup email users. I setup up a mailbox but it seemed there was no mailbox login setup. Never asked me for password info…
The setup is pretty straightforward. As soon as you add the domain, it should create a default user with the postmaster@ user. Log in using the postmaster through workspace.org.
Then, navigate to More > Domain Settings > Click "New".
A popup will prompt you to enter your Username and Password. Enter the details, and voila! You have created an additional user.
If you want to set the other user as administrator, click on the Username and toggle the "Domain Administrator" option.
You're most welcome in advance, lol
Thank you @hazarddavaj
I’m working on expanding the portal for easy user management. I took a bit of a break this weekend and just worked support tickets instead. I’ll be back on coding tonight or tomorrow.

Where's the appropriate place to submit feedback for the client UI?

Used it for a couple days and overall impressed. But the documentation for smartertools is - frankly - too detailed and lengthy.
I think we need a newbie entry level tutorial, preferably covering the basics of domain name resolution configuration, logging in, creating a second user, how to configure smtp, and how to use a web drive
For the first few days, I had to fumble around in a haze of confusion.
You can ticket. The Smartermail side isn’t easily changed. The portal inside billing is all us so we can change that.
For sure need more docs. We are going to get a wiki or sorts up and will start commissioning guides. We will pay (though it won’t be DO bucks).
Francisco
after reading from page first page to last page, decided to get lifetime deal

epic. quoted for documentation purposes only.

I'm interested in helping make a guide, I'll make it based on what I know first
