Enough that I stopped making my spreadsheet because the total price was quickly getting higher than I thought it was going to be.

It's mainly some big ticket items that are monthly and I can drop if I need to but it's looking like $3-4XXX/yr at the moment 🥲

That sounds like significant enough percentage of household income no? :joy:

It's enough for me to question if I need allll of it, but not enough to not put food on the table.

Opportunity cost, it's only that high if I actually commit to the full year. If I use it for a few months and decide they're not going to get that much use then it'll be significantly less.

The big ticket items being the NetDynamic storage server and a OVH SYS system.... kinda scratching my head why I've decided i needed 80+ tb of space to play with now 😂

@admax said: I added up the cost of this BF and realized I’ve spent a bit more than I expected.

I didn't need anything else except storage box. Ended up buying @kuroit €7/y and @host_c $5/y ipv6-only boxes. Now both will be sitting idle for whole yr.

This year, I kept missing @host_c's storage boxes one after another, it’s hard to believe. I was at @host_c’s basic promo events live, and in the end, I ended up buying the $5/year box just like you. I also got @kuroit’s box for 7 pounds a year, bought a few $7 VPS deals, and even won @SilverCreek's $12/year big box, among others.

I initially didn't plan to buy anything this year. Now i ended up with a lot of shit i don't know what to use for. :D

Oh I'm not complaining, my wallet sure is though.

If I pick up some weekend OT shifts it's all covered though so not too concerned.

That's combined, across two systems, in two different regions. Not all in one.

    Thanked by 2admax r3k
  • @admax said: I was originally confident about getting the $7/year 1TB box, but I just couldn’t grab it. Later, I thought the IPv6 1TB boxes were also good, but in the end, still couldn’t get one.

On the same boat. If i ended up getting one $7 1TB box I'll split up 500gb with you.

Recently, I heard that your company's VPS stability is very good. Unfortunately, we couldn't catch up with the previous flash purchases. Can you consider another wave of flash purchases in Singapore for 7 pounds per year?

    Thanked by 1r3k
  • This year, interestingly, I didn't spend anything. Wasn't fast enough to catch any $7/y storage VPS in EU from @host_c and I'm waiting to purchase mxroute plan, but the transfer from the seller to me seems to be stuck for two days now and probably won't be done over a weekend, if it gets at all.
