How to get the server to work? Got an activation mail. Ip is still dead. Promox login gives an error in your backend.

are you on this pve node 5.XX.XXX.170:XXXX ?

    I'm on 5.XX.XXX.172

i see. Currently i have a pending ticket with them regarding Proxmox VE being too open and they said they're urgently investigating on this. so, this might be the case.

    The fun continues

The IP I got is geolocated to Iran which comes with a ton of restrictions
also the LXC is set up in a way that makes it hard to imposible to use some VPNs (no /dev/tun)

So I'll try for a refund, cant be arsed to spend too much time on this

@default no buyers remorse, we knew we were gambling

I don't know how Iran firewall works, but here are some easy scripts to install VPN, designed by @Nyr - a respectful member of LET:

I purchased an $8 server yesterday and have been unable to connect successfully,it's an unusable product and support tickets have gone unanswered for close to 24 hours.

@Blembim I’ve finished testing. I originally wanted to test Geekbench 6, but since I saw your test took 31 minutes, I thought I might not make it in time, so I switched to Geekbench 5 instead.

Bidding my official farewell to this BF Megathread.

It’s been an incredible journey, and I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated. From the spirited discussions to the lightning-fast deal grabs, this thread has been nothing short of an adrenaline-filled, and fun-packed venue.

To all the providers who offered tremendous deals - you’ve truly outdone yourselves this year. Your generosity made it possible for many of us to snag some fantastic, dirt-cheap, and deadpool-level servers 😅

I myself have walked away with over 15 servers - many under $7, others under $10, and a few that nudged slightly above that $10 mark. Also a couple of high spec'ed cheap monthly paid servers.

To all the deal hunters, lurkers, sharers and givers: thank you for making this thread exciting and rewarding. Until next year, may your servers last long enough to see the next BF 😉.

Special thanks to @FAT32 for making all this possible!

    Farewell! 🥳
    - Proud advocate of $7/y deals

  • what an absolute blast this was. successfully managed to not play 40 games of league of legends in the span of 3 days, thanks for the detox.
thanks for all the thanks, was fun trying to get deals, managed to get some, managed to lose some.
thanks to @FAT32 for being a chad and organizing this event. and thank you to all providers <3 providing amazing and awesome deals.
im not good with words, see you all next year lol.

shout-out to @beanman109 for using ssh keys.

proud owner of the 6/6/66 deal.

Yes, I remember it used to be an old Intel CPU, but now switching to Ryzen is much better!

Alright, so here comes my goodbye

Huge thank you to @FAT32 for doing this. I’d offer my help next year, as I have done this year and did last year, but working together with something that takes this amount of planning etc is hard, so I can see why effectively taking use of helping members is hard

What I can and will offer is that if you want a break, I can try to step in. Probably won’t be as nicely organized, but the offer remains. Just send a DM if you’d want to take me up on it at some point in the future, not just saying that as a gesture, I’d gladly do it

To everyone else: I’ve been extremely active here since the start of the thread basically and feeling overworked as hell, so I won’t tag those who I feel made this year the best BF so far as I’ll likely just forget half of you, but if you were engaging, you were one of them, so a big thank you & I hope that next year will be just as fun

Hopefully electricity prices & IPv4 pricing continues downward until then setting the scene for another round of $3 deals

My one takeaway from this is that, next time, I’ll take at the very least friday & monday off. Working full-time while keeping up with the several posts a minute probably decreased my life expectancy with 10 good years

    WE LOVE @FAT32 <3

Also, if you didn’t get the Onidel deal, you suck

  • 1Tb, 2tb vps deals will be live today. Stay tuned!

I think I am addicted to LET

    fuck

How many idling VPSs do you have?

Not that many but I join everyday, every hour almost.

Way too many but not all of them are mine 😜

Excuse me @FAT32 but I just saw what rank has this guy. How can you explain to the COMMUNITY???

First @emgh, now @kuroit, who is the third ambassador????

If you only noticed 2 ambassador you probably need a new specs

tbh didn't paid attention to people ranks for some time though

    And also @host_c and @SilverCreek .

I think I forgot to mention one more BF ambassador, and that's: @gigahost . ;)
