Looks like EPYC VPS is down?

  • @labze you likely answered this previously but I want to confirm - if we want to upgrade our plan in the future would you honor the discount on upgrades? (E.g. if I upgrade to 4 TB would you invoice €51/yr?)

    Thanks!

  • Do i able to setup rclone with storageboxes?

  • @labze Is my order (Invoice 39570) still pending provisioning?

This is because I ordered on 23rd Nov and it is closed to a week and It had not been provisioned. This is not urgent just wanted to know if my order got lost in the queue. Thank you.

    Yes, just use:

    • SSH/SFTP type for the remote
    • the name of the server assigned to you (like ftp2.hostypanel.com)
    • the port assigned to you (on the email received by HostBrr)
    • your login (username assigned to you by HostBrr)
    • your password

Hetzner are doing a upgrade on all their routers so all servers are eventually down for maintenance.

These servers were setup after the initial announcement. I wasn't quite up to my game to get this forwarded to clients on new systems.

Yes, here is my config in /etc/fstab that works with uncommenting user_allow_other. You can apply it to your own config.

    USER@HOST:SRC DEST fuse.sshfs port=PORT,x-systemd.automount,_netdev,user,idmap=user,transform_symlinks,identityfile=SSH_KEY,allow_other,reconnect,default_permissions,uid=1000,gid=1000 0 0

did you manage to mount it again after reboot?

No, I have to SSH and mount it manually. However, if you have something that requires the storage run at boot such as Docker. It will mount the storage automatically at boot given there is no password for the SSH key. I tested it just now.

ok, im having issues to remount it.

    sudo mount -a

    shows no error but

     df -Th

takes very long for an output yet shows not mounted.

No idea either. Could it be that your server and the storage are too far from each other? Mine is in NL and can connect to the storage box in DE just fine. Anyway, you can also ticket the support to whitelist your server's IP address to ensure it's not blocked.

Payment made on Nov 25, 2024 9:50:11 PM. Still waiting for the service.

    Ticket #5959326 is also generated.

  • I have paid on 25. Nov but now I cannot login or reset my username/password because no email from hostbrr.com arrived. Hence, I have no idea if my service is activated or how to use it. Can you check your service for transaction Paypal 79Y48975LD2381023?

Yes, I posted a ticket several hours ago about them blocking my frontend server, effectively pushing the service offline.

  • agxlagxl Member, Host Rep

Is there still a ticket backlog? I've been waiting almost three weeks for the activation and an individual offer. Ticket #9465789 @labze

  • The service is much more stable now.

are we breaking terms of service if we using this for archiving and online backups?

The quoted text indicates yes, you are.

That is a rather standard restriction of shared hosting where disk space is oversold.

This only applies for the normal shared hosting plans. Storageboxes has no limitations on what you can store on it, as long as it abides by remaining TOS. Primarily that it is just legal and non malicious content.
