I was looking for some free panels for my vps(es), and aapanel and 1panel looks nice for me. However, I'm not sure about the security about them. I found out that aapanel is an international version of a Chinese panel (btpanel), and btpanel seems to collect user data. I don't know if aapanel also has that issue or the "feature" is removed from the international ver. Also I can't find many reviews for 1panel.
I am planning to use my vps to host some sites, and I'll use ipv6 and nginx. The sites will not contain any content-sensitive things.
If there are more panels I am not aware of, please suggest them to me. Thanks!

If you need nginx go for HestiaCP/FastPanel, if you don't need email go for CloudPanel.

FastPanel looks nice, does HestiaCP support ipv6?
If you're used to docker, then 1panel is great.
I vote 5 stars for HestiaCP.

HestiaCP is nice too but I need ipv6. Will use it if it is supported in the future.
if you are concerned about security, you should opt for a free cyberpanel supported by the same team behind the LightSpeed server.
I saw some reviews about cyberpanel that it is buggy. Is it improved or they are just haters. I'll test it though. Thanks for the suggestion.

A few months ago I was looking for a good and secure cPanel alternative. Cyber panel is the only other one I used quite a bit and it’s just buggy and cheap with no features, I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a massive backdoor for everyone to enter into.
I looked into all of them and weighing up paying for extras like AApnaels multi account or cyberpanel’s daylight robbery I just went with cPanel with a dcma friendly host and have a daily backup set up with a cheap storage box.
Some people say shared licenses are risky but you search for cheap cPanel licenses and most the sites are all for shared licenses, and none have reviews of malicious privacy concerns

Hmmm 。。。。Do you trust the judgement of a Chinese person on the two Chinese internet products you mentioned? Comparing these two panels, aapanel function is more suitable for newbies, 1panel is suitable for people who have some experience in using it, if you think about it from the security point of view, use 1panel decisively, at least it is open source and there are no bad rumours about it nowadays, as for the BT panel you mentioned, it is indeed the Chinese version of aapanel and it has already countless number of users, even a lot of Chinese hosts will directly help users to install it, which is enough to prove that it is very powerful and easy to use.
Thank you but I don't need many accounts. I'm aiming for free panels for just some small easy tasks and I believe a free panel can accomplish them.
Or you just use any free panel right now, and setup isolated environment like VPN / Whitelist IP, so you less worry about security in public.
Hestiacp is the best, actively developed and secure open source control panel but currently do not support ipv6.
Thanks for your comment. I'll try out 1panel on another idling vps to test out performance. I just saw the introduction video on bilibili and it does have a lot of functions. Might use it after testing it.
Sadly I need ipv6 to do some tasks, otherwise hestiaCP is really good.
If you can read BILIBILI, it means you're a Chinese person, then you have another option, which is a modified pagoda panel from a three-way developer, lol.
Sorry but I don't know what is pagoda panel. Just searched on google and it seems related to bt panel. Is it a modified/cracked bt panel or another panel?
It is BT Panel, Chinese name 宝塔面板=Pagoda Panel, which is a modified version by a third-party developer to remove the backdoor.
Cwp pro is also good almost free for just $12 per year or if you want most secured then apis cp get a lifetime licence
