Which back-end server are you on? I'll see what I can figure out.
wednesday. It's just that the crossbox service has expired.
Lmao
Ty! It's difficult to test without moving a domain there and I don't have any tickets relating to this so no one I can quickly ask for permission to test on. Please let me know if this didn't fix it just now:
If that's funny, make sure you're sitting down for this one: https://files.freesocial.co/f.php?h=02TPuBmq&p=1
Do customers actually like crossbox enough that it makes it worth it to deal with whatever they've got going on with their billing and suspensions of a prod service? They seem unreasonable. > @jar said:
I just tested, it shows expired now. I don't use crossbox personally though.
The problem still exists, can you test on https://mail.mxlogin.com/? Because I use brand settings, the problem should not be on wednesday.
If it works for Arrow (what I'm logged in with) but not Wednesday, it's definitely Wednesday specific. The main instance connects to the various back-ends when you login. Looks like nothing I can do but ticket CB. Sorry in the meantime, I have no idea how long that'll take.
@jar I also have a problem to login and not sure is it related.
I created the account without buying a service (as I plan to receive a transfer) on https://account.mxroute.com/ and I'm logged in there.
But when I try accessing https://accounts.mxroute.com/index.php?/clientarea/ it asks to login, and when I copy login from a password manager it says email or password is incorrect? When I try every other link on a site where login is possible, I get the same error. Is this client area accessible only once I get a service on my account?
I also tried forgot a password option, although the password is correct, but the email never arrives.
The account.mxroute.com website was only set up for a specific promotion quite some time ago. It has no relation to accounts.mxroute.com.
So how to create the account without buying a service, as I agreed to transfer this one and I won't need two plans at the same time?
mxroute is premium and i will marry it to cranemail (after 16 years of fastmail)
Traitor?
who am i supposed to have betrayed? the fastmail criminals? i can live with that.
If you don’t have an account with us then the person who does needs to open a ticket. If there are additional steps required, that person will need to share them with you. This assuming we accept the situation and agree to the transfer. I have not been involved in those personally.
Yes, he opened the ticket and the transfer was accepted. I just didn't know that account I created is not considered as a valid one. I even received a confirmation email and thought it's normal.
In that case, have them ask us what you need to do. I'd rather not use this thread for that.
This year jar has a very tough competitor targeting the same market and it seems the new one is more popular based on the views and comments.
Big corps had me believe the mail business wasn’t that easy.
I think JAR can improve the space of lifetime package. I am waiting for a more favorable lifetime package.
its not all about lifetime. support, stability, reliablity e.g. are also importante.
Just migrate to namecrane or mangomail, the solution is that easy.
It's just new and shiny, it's yet to be proven. MXroute has been around since 2013 and has a excellent track record.
Time will tell how good the new service is but if I were going to pick one for anything critical right now then it's going on MXroute.
Correct I did help a friend by sharing detailed statistical data from our entire fleet to help him identify the average resource usage per customer. I did share private code from our SMTP setup. I did these things so that a friend could target a different market (and frankly, skipped right past a more profitable one that I’ll be working on that will further subsidize the needs of customers with lower budgets). Yes that friend decided that he was going to run me out of business by offering utterly ridiculous deals (without even a friendly heads up) the same way he ran smaller providers out with $15/year VPS back in the day, because I turned down an acquisition offer. I so appreciate this being pointed out to me every 15 minutes.
But I’m not going anywhere. The business tactic isn’t new to me. I learned it from the best many years ago and I can play a game of chicken a lot longer than anyone thinks I can. I don’t blow up friendships to make a little money (but I will cut ties with people who take advantage of my friendship to make a few dollars at my expense). I’m in this business to solve the problems related to email and I aim to continue proving that. But if you just want 600TB of email storage for $0.69/decade, feel free to migrate to the giant server in sin city.
I may be down 2-3 friends who enabled, assisted, or are currently laughing together about how stupid I was to trust a friend with the information necessary to compete with me. But historical data stops being useful pretty fast in my market and I will weather any storm that comes my way. Because at the end of the day I’m still the guy that gives a friend the shirt he’s wearing, and my business opponent is still the guy who stabbed a friend in the back. I know my customers have an appreciation for being cared for. I know my customers recognize that MXroute was built on passion, that “business” has always taken the back seat.
Now I’d like to move on from that which clearly has nothing to do with this thread. I respect the business opponent that I didn’t want, I recognize every right he has to do what he’s doing. I ask for nothing from anyone but maybe “don’t rub salt in the wound.” The guy was an incredible friend and helped me out of some serious binds. I’ll appreciate those times and coexist peacefully. I’m just telling you that I learned a hard lesson and that I’m not moving. No one survives by standing still, some storms are more depressing than others, but they all have to be weathered the same. I’m all grown up now, took me too long to learn how the world works but I’m ready. I’m not going to run my mouth any further about drama, this is where I let it drop and then I’m over it. I’m moving on. I’ve got new features to code, spam filtering work to do, and a lot of customers who depend on me to look out for them every day. That’s where I’ll be.
Ok, people. You heard @jar. There is nothing wrong with MXROUTE, this thread is misleading as it pertains to a specific user case and the posts after that don't even make sense.
if thats true, really pathetic.
good luck.
The Crossbox issue on the Wednesday server is resolved. The config had the wrong IP in it. Your guess is as good as mine as to how that happened given that the server has been configured this way for quite some time without change, but fixed is fixed.
If you don't want people commenting on off -topic messages you leave in arbitrary threads instead of starting your own thread or dealing with the matter privately/elsewhere, I would recommend you refrain from posting said off-topic messages.
It isn't spying on you when people notice that you are walking around public spaces shouting "look at my and my problem".
It was super obvious to the attentive eye that this was going on when Fran surprisingly launched the product just after Jar published his BF deals, so late into his timezone, aimed at the same market, with bigger numbers than Jar everywhere.
price war when
kidding, happy mxr customer.
