Not even some free setup fee, they changed
100 buckets per account is a show stopper. We cloudflare R2 storage as our primary storage engine and we allocate dedicated bucket for each customer to have data isolation, Cloudflare allow 100000 buckets per account. I'm sure this will be a big concern for many.
I mean, I don't exactly see how they couldn't. They seem very conservative with spending as a company. It wouldn't surprise me if they have deep pockets on their own but also wouldn't surprise me if they have private investors.
Hetzner has limited resources, while aws is n+1 times bigger.
I'm not saying that Hetzner S3 is the right solution for everyone, but try to do some real comparisons instead of these hypothetical max limits that most won’t need.
I just calculated prices with Cloudflare's price calculator. For my use case, Cloudflare R2 costs 3x more than Hetzner S3, and the AWS price is crazy in comparison.
No one in their right mind would consider hetzner for serious production given their history of how they handle customers, or rather how they boot them out without 0 f's given. It is hard to compare.
Yes, it's 1/3 the cost, but too early for production.
We use their cloud instances and have zero downtime. Even if there is downtime, we have HA setup to ensure uninterrupted service.
