If I use my unused servers then they're not unused anymore.
So, nothing.

Is it profitable?
YES, Putting it on the side to consume power
and YABS
Depends on your definition.
Doing YABS sometimes just for pleasure.
None of that is for profit in the first place. However, proxies can be monetized.
I use it to create profiles of LET members. Whenever someone share any sensitive information I put it next to their username with a description.
I also use them to store naked photos of myself and anything “idle” is used to run HDD/SSD capacity tests to prevent neighbours from using my unused data.
If they are unused, they are being used for nothing. Otherwise they wouldn't be unused.

whoo Hentai@Home!
If you consider the saved money a form of revenue, then you can use your server(s) to host an AdGuard instance. In this way, not only you keep your DNS queries private, but you also save a little bit of $$$ by not paying for, let's say, YouTube Premium.

Looks like everyone has their own little tricks, great, I'll learn them, thanks!
You can also install Chrony and join the ntppool.org. In the underserved areas it's the bandwidth what is limiting and it happens to be mostly Asia. Serve the time to millions of users which is pretty cool.
