Hi, I am using CloudPanel for one year and it's good. I need your suggestions for free stable alternatives for production sites. Also if there are any lifetime deals on paid control panels, please do share them here. Thanks

Thanks. CloudPanel is no doubt best panel. Very stable.
What does your experience say about CyberPanel? Is it good for production?

  • @qamarulhassan said: What does your experience say about CyberPanel? Is it good for production?

I find it a bit buggy at times, in my opinion it's good for fast loading WordPress sites.

    Thanked by 1qamarulhassan
  • Used too many panels tbh but I don't recommend most unless you find it absolutely necessary, around half of my servers are running without any panel. The panel I like follow this path, cloudpanel > easypanel/yunohost > Fastpanel > myvesta > tinycp > aapanel(it's bad now)

I used to like keyhelp but with my reliance on nginx got better of me and haven't tried since 2020-21. There many others as well but most of them are either wierd or just not good with me.

Thanks. The shared hosting industry is using Litespeed enterprise edition and it's cache is really good for lightening fast WordPress sites. Regarding its open source version Openlitespeed, I didn't use it on any VPS, so I can't comment on its performance. Did you use CyberPanel with enterprise or free version?

Thanks. Keyhelp is good but I also prefer NGINX for performance that's why not using it. CloudPanel is very good as far as performance is concerned.
In CloudPanel, what do you use for caching? I am using Varnish but a lot of issues with it.

I prefer redis for data and for standard cache I left it to pagespeed and for Statics it's just CF and bunny with some custom cache rules.

easypanel uses docker which is great but kinda resource extensive for running multiple sites.

Are you using the NGINX Pagespeed module for dynamic content caching and turned off Varnish in CloudPanel?

hestiacp is great, the enhance is not free but cheap and very odd setup as you not be able to backup to normal directory or remote server / storage required specific btrfs disk only!

at the time of tests we found a few bugs - not ready for production, I can say Hestiacp from our expirience is more production ready.

This panel is a castrated version of the full body of the Chinese version of the BT panel, and many of its plug-ins are charged separately, such as those for the security category and the monitoring category.

still better than other free panels i have tried. only using aapanel now.

This is a good product. I started using it when this company first started and paid for the Pro version to permanently support a 15 server deployment. However, many people have since discovered that it collects user server information and uploads it to the BT.co.uk servers. This information was obtained via WebRTC, which led to many content-sensitive sites eventually abandoning it. I was one of the sites that eventually abandoned it. Haha!

  • Why do you want to move from CloudPanel, @qamarulhassan?

    BT.co.uk rewrite to www.bt.com

Oh, if you still want to use it, one option is to delete the code related to the panel, in fact a lot of Chinese programmers did so, and unlocked its paid features, I now use open source panels, 1panel used more.

  • @qamarulhassan said: Did you use CyberPanel with enterprise or free version?

    Free version.
OLS is great for WP sites with a bit of learning curve.
Cyberpanel just makes it easier to use OLS but HestiaCP & Cloudpanel with nginx is also fast for WP sites so I prefer it more over Cyberpanel.

Hi, I don’t want to move from CloudPanel. I have been using it for my production sites for over a year, and I’m very happy with it. For my new VPSes, I was just exploring whether there’s any good free panel on the market that’s better than CloudPanel or if there are any Friday/Cyber Monday lifetime deals currently available for paid panels. From the discussion here, I see that many people are also recommending HestiaCP. Since I don’t require an email service, I might just stick with CloudPanel.

  • @glitch said:

will try keyhelp and see how it is.
lots of people are recommending it lately.

Hestiacp doesn't support ipv6...if it matters
