CHEF, LET'S SAY GOODBYE TO 2024 WITH A BANG OF FLASH DEALS!
do it my way, have an entire disk filled with Linux distros, and boot with anyone you want.
How big is this disk? I wanna settle with one and use VMs for any others that I might require for specific purposes in the future.
I am really comfortable with Ubuntu. Any liteweight versions based on Ubuntu/Debian?
Double BW still available?

HOTTEST DEALS AND GIVEAWAYS THIS BLACK FRIDAY, ONLY ON RACKNERD BF THREAD!
I have a 1tb SSD for Linux distros and another for data.
Lightweight zorinOS lite is based on ubuntu and works fine on older gen systems.
Edit: will be discontinued soon as their main OS can also do just fine on older gen systems. Also it's based on ubuntu and not debian but technically it's still debian.
Lots of distros could handle your requirements list.
It depends on how you plan to use it
Oh. How many distros do you have on that 1TB?
Sad that it's getting discontinued. I might just settle with Debian/Ubuntu in the end, Ig.
Can you gimme 2-3 distros that are lightweight and handle those?
around 8, installed and ISOs i didn't count.
True. I use Alpine on my Luckfox Pico.
ISOs? Do you have custom editable entries on Grub, or are you using an advanced bootloader?
For ISOs i am using ventoy on different partition and it works
It's not new - it's just tough to remove proprietary blobs from routers and still have them function.

100% agree here
DietPi exists, which is a lightweight Debian based distro.
Oh yeah i am using that on a nanopi, serves it purpose just right
Thank you for reminding me of this. Ventoy has been something I have wanted to try for far too long.
Aah, will have to check this out now.
Well, I didn't mean to be disrespectful. You are right. Alpine is pretty popular. Many projects use it for chroot, if I am not wrong.
Didn't know they were available on x86.
@TrK Finally got Memcached running with my script. Thanks man.
Pretty serious discussion is going on?
Hi. I would like to double the bandwidth.

Thanks!
Howdy gang! Did I miss anything last night? I passed out earlier than I've been but I've had to be fully awake for an early morning work meeting (couldn't do the half asleep thing)
