    Oh, thanks a lot. Imma look into each of these and see how they can be configured. Currently, just running a VM on my local machine to revise my knowledge of Nginx. Never used Nginx before. Been an Apache/OLS guy.

    Apache also supports fastcgi as for ols I can't say much haven't tried it since years I guess the last ols webserver I ran was around 2019. And i didn't liked it tbh, litespeed is entirely different though. Ols is like a mix of nginx, Apache and litespeed and that too isn't any good compared to others. For example the ops boasts impressive page loading times with WordPress but but but it's only if you are using their lscache plugin. I can achieve similarly or sometimes better speed with just nginx tweaks and caching. There are many ways to improve response times the only required is you tweak the webserver to best handle the load.

    Got a lot to learn then. Was just researching memcached for Nginx. Seems my custom PHP script will have to be changed a bit for Memcached to work. This is my first encounter with Memcached or any caching solution.

    Oh yah. OpenWrt. An interesting topic for, cause I just started using it. Did you hear about their own new router - OpenWrt One?

    They don't have their own afaik, maybe partnered with someone but meh idk much about that. I am using tomato right now.

    Uses a Banana Pi. WDYT? I personally think, it's overpriced.

    When it's a collaboration it's always overpriced, I would personally for once also nanopi r5s lts with opener/ddwrt and get it done with enough headroom to play docker and maybe just use it as a pfsense firewall.

    Yah, thought the same. At $89.99 and with just 2 Ethernet ports, it's definitely overpriced. But, $10 goes to the OWrt team, for further development. Moreover, I don't understand why even add a Type C port for only power when it's PoE.

    Running a router on poe isn't ideal for me, but then again it's not your usual router with multi poe out so meh. The HYPE will die down and the product price will drop down. It still looks wierd for me even with the $10 going to openwrt.

    Not the best router cosmetically. It does come with an NVMe slot. That's a plus. But, I wish they had just cut down the USB-C power port and added another Ethernet port, or better yet, a data USB port, so that you could maybe use a USB to Ethernet adaptor or any other USB device, if required.

    Just look at nanopi r5s lts and you will see what I am talking about. the banana pi just doesn't seem viable for me.

    You weren't kidding. 4GB RAM caught my eye. Yah, this is much better.

    And ofcourse it also features a m.2 slot for say a wifi card or a 2280 SSD.

    Another advantage, as the OWrt one has a slot for 2242 SSDs (rarer and more expensive)

    Memchached should work without any major changes in your code but can't be said same for redis. Out of redis and memchached redis gives me the best performance. Good luck trying out both and who knows you might just love what you get.

    What would you recommend? I am looking for a lightweight distro that can manage almost everything that Windows does on my PC right now, mainly:-
    1. Adobe Premiere Pro → Eden Live or something will work on Linux
    2. Adobe Photoshop → GIMP
    3. OBS Studio
    4. Equalizer APO (haven't found an alternative yet). I use it for noise cancellation.

    The rest have Linux alternatives or are available natively. Considering these, which distro would you recommend?

    I guess this is comparatively newer, cause checking it's Table of Hardware, I only see a few currently supported. Might have to port.
