I sugged using cloudflare wrap to get ipv4 connectivity , things like github don't work otherwise

I was looking into that already. Thanks for confirming it works. Idk if care so much. I was thinking about using the machine to just talk with my other servers Via IPv6 and while using UFW to blacklist all IPv6 connections I didn't whitelist.
I might try it just to test and also learn more.

  • Hi, I am still shopping looking at your link offers. Will your offers expire on a certain scheduled date/time? Or links remain active until availability sold out?

Also, I see that you specify SWAP space which I don't see other providers specifying. Are you configuring operating systems with nondefault swap settings? Or why do you specify SWAP? Thanks

Missed all... Maybe next year :)

On there site says Dev 3 (Today), but I've seen them run offers until they sell out (past the date).
The SWAP is being stored on the Host system. Not the VPS, so you don't have the XXXXMB taking up space on your VPS storage.

Not sure they could offer that as part of a $5.95/year or $4/year deal. we think the current offer is already excellent. Maybe we’ll include something like that in our Christmas deal!

    unsolicited advice warning,

Please don't fall into that trap , why not just include double bandwidth in the plan itself, it increase spam , increases work for you , while just providing a few bumps, but most of those threads become lifeless with no meaningful discussion , your threads are already very active

Anyways I will see myself out now ,

    Thanks

TBH while I agree with this, I see why providers do this.
Extra engagement/bumps. FOMO. Making them feel like they are getting extra value. Also making people feel like the provider is giving away stuff.
Downsides are like you said, no meaningful discussions/spam. Extra work for employees (On provider and LET staff). Some people just hate this and also don't want to do the extra work for it.

  • Count me in

Providers keep their own margins. Too many low prices can cause bumps.
