    The science is still to be determined, but there is evidence to suggest it interferes with one's sleep cycle to some degree (and depending on the person). Difficult to study though, so the jury is still out as to how much it affects people in general.

    Some even have an "even dimmer" mode for when the bottom of the brightness slider isn't dark enough.

    True, Although I rarely activate it. Could explain why I don't sleep right away,

    Those modes dont help much as you think they do :lol:

    I have a mode called "sleep mode" or something like that. It makes the whole screen black and gray. That definitely makes stuff dull and forces to you sleep :lol:

    It's always dark mode for me even in phone, my phone's are in dark colours too.

    phone = dark mode because battery otherwise lite mode :lol:

    For that, some phones have Night light as well, to lessen the strain on your eyes as well.

    Personally, have seen it on Pixels. Not sure if that's an inbuilt feature on others.

    Almost every smartphone have the night light feature some find it with warm light name too.

    I guess. It's not a very hard feature to implement. Moreover, there was a Windows application that had the same feature as well.

    Yeah my iphone have it so does my windows 11 laptop and I guess it's available on my desktop too.

    The science is still to be determined, but there is evidence to suggest it interferes with one's sleep cycle to some degree (and depending on the person). Difficult to study though, so the jury is still out as to how much it affects people in general.

    Ahh, I see. Might have to try it out then. Been trying to get my sleep back to its normal cycle.

    I use it set to only a slight tint, mostly to remind myself that it's getting late, not because I notice any real difference.

    Sometimes, the effect on your health and sleep cycle are sutble to be noticed. Maybe a sleep monitoring watch could confirm.

    True, though honestly I probably do more damage to my sleep cycle by staying up late to reply to this thread lol

    Yup, it is. Bu, I do love the night light on Android phones. Helps lessen the eye strain and helps get sleep better.

    I haven't used it for a long time now, Anti blue eye glasses are the best for this while keeping the colors natural.
