Literally, looking for a dark mode option is the first thing I do anytime I encounter something that defaults to light mode.

That's one explanation and frankly, it makes sense. But, I just wish people would atleast sublet the idling VPSes to other people who might have use of it.

Never tried it. My eyes are pretty well-adjusted to light mode.
I never had that for long, I always switch back to light mode
Each to his own I guess.
For that, some phones have Night light as well, to lessen the strain on your eyes as well.
