I assume the underlying metal is dual processor.

Those VPS are E5 v4 based and wildly assuming it's 2680

You're lucky. We in the UK DC, seem to run on somewhat older E5 v4 ("Broadwell") nodes. Which btw. IMO is perfectly acceptable, even good, for the ridiculously low price we paid.

  • Seeing this, I have to be more careful in making purchases.

@jsg this is when they host 1000 Users on a single Node
And a single node within 1k Users has a profit of $23,950
So you may think its cheap :)

looks like a profitable business , lets do this ourselves

Many people was doin that here , just buy a provider tag for $100 a dedicated server 1000 ipv4 and sell here for 9.99$ 1 month then disapear. example @repuc

oh damn , but what if people really go long term? I mean like if some host stays active and be loyal to customers for year wont they still be earning money?

For everyone saying it's ridicilous to file a dispute because of "a bit of downtime in the weekend"; this is my ICMP reply results for the last 30 days to my US VPS with MG:

    https://tinypic.host/images/2024/12/01/chart.png

Basically < 50% uptime. Not even saying anything about performance, just ICMP ping reply coming back or not.

So it's not just this weekend...

It's most likely just one person saying that, but he has a reputation for fighting and gaslighting people's concerns and objections on a sinking ships.
He has done this numerous times before. He's willing to fight people to the very end. Not really an example of common sense...

Hmm, I wonder: who might that person be?

Because it's certainly not me. I was not talking about "a bit of downtime in the weekend", I rather was talking about whether one can expect, let alone demand, that a provider solves problems with ridiculously cheap VPS during the weekend.

Or maybe some persons are in the habit of asserting that he has such a reputation.

AFAIC having the worst possible reputation in your eyes is a pleasure for me and like a medal of honour. And feeling the need to attempt striking at me at anything you perceive as an opportunity, you hand out that medal of honour as often as possible.

  • no more drama yet? this provider is going to be just another c1v isn't it

  • Suspension Reason: Overdue on Payment

  • machines are up it seems.
my vps have slightly better network performance than before.

  • They’re now answering tickets and in my case refusing a refund. I’ve opened a complaint in my bank for a chargeback as I’m not looking forward to 47 more months of triggered alarms and headaches. Cheap is one thing, scamming is something else.

  • It's working for me too but I'm not a customer

  • Frankfurt down again...
