Yeah, I can't speak on the other keyboard layouts but I do know when I use the novnc thing, I have to purposely type slower than I normally do otherwise it doesn't capture everything. Glad you got it! I was going to say, I'd assume there would be some way to do a netboot (assume freebsd has some small iso you could edit grub and boot from) or mess with partition sizes and have grub boot the iso off a different partition. Glad you got it working!
It is super weird though they wouldn't mount the iso/it came up as a false positive.
Yep, it's tough getting support comments in here during the holiday events. There is also the CLI
Yeah in 2020-2021, i had used the Keyhelp with RN HDD 3.5GB KVM.
Pls double the bandwidth

what's the problem with specifying the processor model? the number of vcpu doesn't mean anything for the user, and considering that the site says that they use xeon, this is very sad, considering the price...
How I looked at 8a this morning while the dog was eating her breakfast and I'm thinking about the morning walk with it being like 18F outside (realfeel like 11F or something like that)
So the chef's not here and the usual party people seem down on the Monday mood-breaking train.
Hehe, I feel better now, it was just this morning while I was still waking up and thinking about the cold. I'm still glancing here from time to time hoping to see some more activity!
that sounds correct
HAPPY CIDER MONDAY!
Same, and without the chef the party is turning lame......
WE

will prolly sleep...... have to finish work first thing in the morning......
Enjoy the sleep! I'm hoping Dustin/Chef comes during the day but I think last year, it wasn't until my evening/night time (Central/US)
Let's hope he will be here in between as well. The thread seems empty without the Chef cooking.
Hi @jsg -- Thank You for giving us a shot, and I sincerely appreciate you bringing this to my attention. There seems to have been a misunderstanding on our end regarding the FreeBSD ISO request. While we are security conscious, official FreeBSD mirror ISOs should never be flagged or declined.
I've already looked into your ticket, and I see that the ISO mount has since been approved and taken care of for you. However, I'll be personally discussing this with Kannan when he's back on shift to understand what occurred and ensure we improve our processes.
That said, we always aim to learn from these experiences. At the same time, we're all only human on the other end of the line as well, so I'll be the first to admit, we're not going to always be perfect 100% of the time, but one thing for sure is that we show up for our customers everyday, we're consistent, truly available 24x7, and we truly care for our customer's needs as if it were our own. When mistakes do happen, there's a very low chance they ever repeat, as they are usually addressed in our weekly support team meetings, so that the entire team is on the same page. If you need anything else or if there are still any other outstanding/unresolved concerns, I'm here to help. You can also reach me directly at [email protected]

Hi @jsg -- Thank You for the feedback. We use SolusVM's native VNC capabilities, without any customization or deviation from the default implementation. Given your experience with other providers, you should find our VNC setup familiar as it's the standard SolusVM configuration.
A quick tip - make sure you're accessing VNC directly through the SolusVM control panel directly, rather than the WHMCS services page, as this can make a difference. I know for example the SolusVM VNC directly has copy/paste capabilities whereas the WHMCS integration version of VNC does not, etc.
If you're still experiencing slowness or keyboard layout issues, I'd be happy to take a closer look and involve SolusVM support if needed. Just shoot me an email at [email protected]
Glad to hear the early performance numbers are looking promising! We're committed to delivering solid service you can count on.
Hahaha, the Chef is always on the go, and adventuring for sure
You can check this using the cat /proc/cpuinfo command in SSH - keep in mind the first core count starts at "0" instead of 1.
Good eye! This is indeed our latest LowEndBox giveaway
This is all in addition/separate from the giveaways we're doing within this thread too, so a great way to increase your chances of winning!
Are the VPS setup such that the physical cores, ram, and nic they are using are always on the same numa node of the host? Also, once the VPS is running, will it always stay on the same physical RAM and CPU or will it bounce around any of the physical host RAM and CORES?
I.e. is the VPS setup such that it is set to run on specific CPUS and RAM of the host or is it free to float around on the entirety of the resources available in the host?
