Personally, I've not seen anything much that's crazy value, or at least crazy value that interests me. Almost every deal is more expensive than the servers I already have.
It's unlikely you'd save enough to make it worth losing a day's holiday (IMHO). It's fun if you're on holiday anyway, but if it's just about getting the deal, you'd be better off paying normal price and working an extra day.
I’ve never spent a single moment in a megathread over the years. I prefer to save time and just pay for the regular Black Friday deals.

Depends where you live, but $40 in exchange for a day is valuing your time at less than $5/hr for the day. That's well below minimum wage in most places.

people love to break APIs and backward compatibility as much as I'd love to break their neck.
FWIW, if you're enjoying it, then it might be worth it anyway... My point was just that it doesn't necessarily make sense from just the financial aspect.
Haha, i thought I'm the only one. Either I'm too slow/ hesitant to click the pay button and the promo codes are gone, or the one deal i got has PLENTY of stock(until now it's still available) so I don't feel special at all lol
