How do P4 servers continue to be economical? With the low cost of Atom powered servers now (and their lower power usage), P4's are becoming OLD and power hungry.
Reminds me of Killing Floor for some reason...

$35/mo Atom as well. Not cheap but I think CyberWurx are quite good.
Delimiter's Atom is still cheaper. Their $20/month dual Xeon with 16GB RAM is also cheaper.
These are not that good deals.
Advertising much?
It's a week to Christmas
Link?

@serverian - Oh yeah We have sold just over half of our stock of X5150's, there's a few hundred units left.
@MarkTurner Ordered one yesterday, not ready but still within provisioning time frame
@vRozenSch00n how about another one
Hey, I already cut my Christmas budget :P
Now that this is derailed anyway, does anyone know a dedicated server offer where VMWare is known to play nice with?
@Coy - those X5150's I keep talking about run VMWare ESXi
Surely isn't a bad deal for $30/mo. Will probably buy it this weekend, but first I'll see if my other dev dedi can run it.
@MarkTurner, Your statements make me feel as if you are having a whole data center full of them.
@darknessends I think you can see a pile in the units waiting to be racked in a photo I uploaded on here a few days back. Not sure they are X5150's but they are definitely HP blade servers, they maybe the L5520's
Your own dATA cENTER??
@8QE - Yes own, as in private, as in our name on the door
Can you free upgrade bandwidth for me?
Or... Change to 10Mbps unlimited?
Can you free upgrade bandwidth for me?
I dont work for Delimiter - you should ask Steve ([email protected])
Thanks
With that P4 server probably consuming 1.5 amps of power the datacenter must be losing money on this deal.
Might be a 0.5 U model.
Probably not a P4.
