Black Friday Deals at Contabo – Biggest Sale of the Year

Comments

  • No response my ticket?

  • Please check, why is my private network charged? Isn't the private network of the machine purchased through BF activity free? Why is there a fee in my bill? I bought 9 VPSs, and all of them are charged this fee. Please help me solve it. Maybe it's a bug in your system.

  • 10% is a joke.

  • I used to host rails app with Contabo, Its OK provider. I got last year BF offer, where I got free setup free and 5.5 USD sg deals.

Buat last 2 month, automatic payment failed, and I need to pay setup fee again to activate the box. Its ok one time, but two times. No thank you

  • The reputation of the business has long been in tatters.

  • I don't think I've ever seen a Black Friday sale ever backfire this hard. 99.999% negative comments and then 1 comment mentioning they had bought 9 servers (positive) ended up getting charged fees and became a negative.

@Arkas - is there an unofficial hall of fame for threads like this??

    Perhaps one should be created...

Girl, is a Contabo technician writing my data by hand on a piece of paper or like why is it so slow. Do I submit a work order to give the Contabo worker some coffee so they do it faster?

Anyway, 10% off is 10% off so slay I guess.

I can not emphasize that enough: My ping from PH to SG server with contabo is over 100. My ping to almost any LET provider in US here is around 100.
My point being, contabo seem very shaddy to me in their business practice. How much do you oversell your VPS to have that kind of ping..

  • You should not open a Black Friday DEALAS Thread with only 10% off lol, thats a joke.

  • Interesting, that during BFCM, spammers bought a lot servers here, in the US dc. Now spamming like insane.

    Contabo is such garbage.

    @contabo_m
You should be arrested and raided by German police.

You know what their policy is. They give you a cheap VPS then they start sending you emails saying the VPS has gone up in price and they raise your prices. The prices they offer you are not for life time.

    Evidence:

In the beginning, everything is ok related to the price, then they start raising the prices with the excuses that the price of electricity in Germany has gone up, COVID, the war in Ukraine, etc...

  • @Ght said:
@contabo_m maybe next year you will get some sales after posting some real BF Deals , otherwise this a joke :D

Looking at the offer, the offer is 10% discount, not $X. My internet provider does similar but with $ monthly discount/credit. So they can raise prices the following year and keep same credit/discount.

well in EU, having 30-70% is normal for them so...

When I bought a VPS, I didn't get any discount, it wasn't Black Friday, Christmas or New Year's. I bought a VPS without a discount and they raised the price twice (100%) within a year and a half. So they raised the price of my VPS 3 times.

They send you an email and say that electricity has gone up in Germany. After a few months, they send you an email that there is a war in Ukraine and that's why, etc...

The worst thing is that they have a better VPS (more RAM, more vCPU, more SSD) on sale for NEW USERS, but they don't let you buy it.
Why? Because that is their way of working. Their prices are typical of attracting new users and after a few months they raise the prices by 100%.
